7076 / ACER [17" monitors]
The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers
supplies the following faults for 7076 / ACER.
List of fault symptoms:
- Control unit does not workt, HV switches off shortly after switch-on.
- Horizontal line, no vertical deflection.
- Value of resistor R458
- No blue.
- PSU switches off.
- No vertical synchronisation.
- E/W equalization can only be changed a little. Picture is bowed inwards.
- PSU switches on and off.
- Relay ticks.
- Adjustment of the horizontal hold pot. (7076 tips)
- Smoke from the appliance. Green LED flashes.
- No function. PSU starts up, HV comes up and switches off again instantly.
- E/W-Fault.
- Line end stage fails (Q312). Flyback pulse has approx. 1200V. Temporarily flyback pulse jumps to approx. 1500V. (7076 tips)
- No green video signal.
- White picture with flyback lines. G2 pot on the DST has no effect.
- Drop out for a short time. Picture collapses for a short time. Horizontal displacement changes
- Horizontal linearity fault. (7076 tip from ACER)
- Fleck of light after switching off.
- Picture jitter on both sides, more or less, according to the picture width.
- Dead.
- Not enough picture width, no control.
- Line oscillator does not lock on horizontally.
- No horizontal deflection.
- No picture.
- No colour.
- With resolution 800x600, linear narrowing of picture occurs from top to bottom and the deflection coils hum.
With help of this list a solution is found often when ACER 7076 fails.
