7276E / ACER [17" monitors]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for 7276E / ACER.

List of fault symptoms:
  • Does not store basic values for the picture geometry in every mode.
  • No raster.
  • OSD cannot adjust drive.
  • PSU switches immediately in protective mode.
  • PSU repair. Netzteilreparatur. (7276E tips)
  • Picture is distorted in DOS mode (line tearing) and shifts to the right. (7276E tip from ACER)
  • Picture is too dark. No OSD. No HBNK at the IC1901. (service info for ACER -7276E)
  • IC201 defective.
  • C326 (270pF/500V) repeatedly fails.
  • Deflection output abnormal.
  • No OSD. (7276E tip from ACER)
  • No start up. LED lights up green.
  • No picture, LED comes on for approx. 4 secs then goes off.
  • OSD cannot control bias.
  • Picture is shifted to the right. Horizontal tearing and no horizontal shift control. (7276E tip from ACER)
  • No function in wide screen mode.
  • Data to EEPROM cannot be saved.
  • No function. Ticks.
  • After switch on LED701 lights up for a short time. Then no function.
  • Picture shifted to the right. No horizontal shift control.
  • No vertical blanking.
  • No function. Green LED fails after 4 secs.
  • Picture size defective.
  • Switches to protection mode.
  • Fuse is blown, Q602 is S/C.
  • R241 burned.
  • Spot killer function fails.
  • OSD cannot adjust contrast.
  • Only a bright picture. No flyback lines. No OSD.
  • OSD cannot adjust brightness.
  • No function, no secondary voltage from the PSU.
  • No function. PSU makes a short attempt at starting up.
  • No start-up.
  • One or more RGB channels are not displayed.
  • E/W pincushion fault. Picture is too narrow. Knock sensitive.
  • No picture. OSD OK .
  • Poor picture.
  • No vertical output.
  • Shuts down (after start-up).
  • No picture. No audio.
  • Line O/P transistor S/C when switched ON.
  • Blue retrace lines on picture.
  • Dead. LED lit for a while and slowly goes off.
  • Reduced vertical size. (ACER - 7276E information)
  • Spot killer defective.
  • Horizontal jitter. Vertical black stripe on the left side. (7276E ACER repair tip)
  • Occasionally picture has a colour fault.
  • Excessive horizontal size.
  • Horizontal tearing.
  • No vertical deflection.
  • On the left approx 4cm picture content missing. In OSD only P1, P2 and P3 appear. No adjustment.
  • Picture flickers and jitters.
  • No operation. No display.
  • Picture is totally blurred.
  • Black screen. Power LED lit .
  • Incorrect black value. Too much red, green or blue in dark part of the picture.
  • Switches on for approx. 1 seconds and then switches to protective circuit.
  • HV abnormal.
  • Horizontal end stage fails again especially with higher resolutions.
  • Frequently failing parts: 2SD5048, R241, 3A fuse, transistor Q302 is defective.
  • No picture.
  • No function. Green LED goes off again after switch on.
  • Bright picture.
  • Pincushion distortion.
  • Geometric function defective.
  • Starts up, runs for approx 1 second, then line drive cuts off, rest of set still runs OK. (7276E tip from ACER)
  • E/W cannot be adjusted.
  • Q302, C326, fuse (3A) are defective. (7276E tip from ACER)
  • Lines on the left hand side of the picture edge.
  • Dead.
  • No horizontal drive signal.
  • Switches to standby.
  • R329 (10K) on the deflection plug is burnt.
  • Horizontal end stage transistor fails.
