8903 / BAIRD [Video recorder]

  • Severe side-to-side wobble on picture in PB and REC.
  • PLAY button jumps up at end or during loading cycle.

  • Negative picture. Poor colour.
  • Wow and flutter.
  • Clicking noise.
  • Intermittent stopping during playback or record modes.
  • Poor field lock on E-E and PB mode.
  • During PLAY colour is missing.
  • Very weak picture. Sound OK.
  • Fuse blowing and (.47R) series resistor in the capstan motor circuit O/C.
  • Bent verticals at bottom. Moving white marks across bottom.
  • Stops after a few seconds.
  • Drum servo mistracks during PB. (8903 tips)
  • No audio REC. Previous audio remains.
  • Low sound on playback.
  • E-E or playback video signal is missing.
  • Function keys do not stay down.
  • Weak and noisy E-E and TV signals.
