VC121 / BAIRD [Video recorder]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for VC121 / BAIRD.

List of fault symptoms:
  • From switch on the drum turns.
  • When timer information is sent from RCU display shows ERR.

  • When tape is loaded or recording the tuning drifts.
  • Tape not being accepted, appliance switches off with cassette symbol flashing.

  • Brakes do not function, belt off and loop in tape.

  • Horizontal distortion on verticals of PB picture. Also drum servo very sensitive and anomalies when touched. All other functions ok.
  • Intermittent display and/or functions.

  • Would only power up for about 4 seconds then shut down. Would not accept a cassette, display ok.
