VCC836 / BAUER [Camcorder - 8mm]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for VCC836 / BAUER.

List of fault symptoms:
  • No synchronization in picture centre on PB of own recordings.
  • Low or dull sound in EE and in REC.
  • No sound on EE operation.
  • Autofocus does not function.
  • No function with battery.
  • During camera operation the sound crackles (intermittent fault).
  • The appliance shuts down after approximately 10 seconds.
  • With the battery the camera only operates for a short time.
  • The diaphragm cannot be adjusted. The screen is still light.
  • No camera picture, during recorder operation the appliance switches off immediately.
  • Displays "BATT" at power supply function then switches off. (VCC836 tip from BAUER)
  • Cylinder motor runs out of control and appliance switches off.
  • Poor PB and EE picture. No PB in RF.
  • Recordings on 90 mins cassettes show wow and flutter. The tape will not rewind.
  • The appliance cannot rewind the cassette to the start. The capstan barely turns.
  • Recorder picture on TV is OK, picture rolling in viewer.
  • When inserting the cassette the appliance switches off.
  • Laces in, unlaces and switches off.
  • When operated through the power supply unit the appliance shows "BATT" and then switches off.
  • No colour recording possible.
  • Camera picture flashes.
  • No playback picture, but the recording is ok.
  • No functions.
  • Sync. interference in centre of picture in PB. Interference recorded but cannot be detected in viewer. Only occurs when battery is half full and outside temperatures are high.
  • During camera operation the colour flickers.
  • The viewfinder record LED lights up intermittently.
  • Motor zoom only works in one direction or not at all. (VCC836 tip from BAUER)
  • The viewfinder picture is missing.
  • Laces up, immediately unlaces and switches off. (VCC836 tip from BAUER)
  • No start-up.
  • No characters in the control unit display, control functions are otherwise ok.
  • No sound on the earphone socket.
  • Sound fails frequently. Sometimes it is also too muffled or too soft.
  • Dark picture on camera function.
  • On PB only one half of the picture can be seen. The videohead is ok.
  • During record running noises are recorded when zooming.
