1466M / BELSTAR [TV]

List of fault symptoms:
  • No functions.
  • Tripping.
  • Does not start up. Standby LED is present at switch-on. LED becomes green for one sec., then it switches off.

  • No function via 12/24V power supply.
  • Line output transistor faulty.
  • RC is defective.
  • Switches to standby (after warm-up).
  • Audio dropouts via SCART socket.
  • Switches to protection mode. (1466M tips)
  • No start-up from standby.
  • No picture. Audio OK .
  • Blue picture. Retrace lines.
  • Intermittently switches off and goes to standby. If switched on again, a digit key has to be pressed on RC.
  • Key-LED lights green for a short time, then becomes red.
  • Horizontal line.
  • Enter service mode.
  • R809 and R821 smoking after a few minutes. (1466M tips)
  • Vertical deflection reduced to 2-4 cm.
  • No picture. Blank raster. Audio OK .
  • No start-up from standby. LED is red . No line drive.
  • Picture folds down at the bottom. Linearity and vertical position cannot be adjusted. (1466M BELSTAR repair tip)
  • Strong continuous chirp from mains transformer with normal operation. Horizontal interference lines (pinch). (BELSTAR - 1466M information)
  • No colour.
  • Blue screen. Flyback lines.
  • Squealing noise. at start-up.
  • Dead (intermittently).
  • BU808DFI fails every so often.
  • Stuck in standby.
  • Slow start-up.
  • 2-3 cm horizontal stripe in the middle of screen.
  • No start-up. LED is red .
  • Green picture. Flyback lines.
  • Black vertical bar. on the left.
  • TV does not switch on. Standby LED flickers.
  • Picture appears slowly (5-10 mins later after start-up). Audio OK.
  • HV output stage (BU808DFI) defective.
  • Dead.
  • Vertical lines. Unstable picture.
  • Q602 trips repeatedly.
  • No HV.
  • Picture is instable, horizontal lines from the top to the bottom.
