CTV1412 / BEON [TV]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for CTV1412 / BEON.

List of fault symptoms:
  • Loud whistling from loudspeakers. Wavy picture and picture runs through. No sync via scart. (CTV1412 tip from BEON)

  • Does not switch off from standby, LED alternately flashes dark then light.
  • Reduced vertical deflection.
  • Blurry picture.
  • Restore factory settings.

  • Enable child lock.
  • Switches to standby. intermittently.

  • Stuck in standby.
  • Snow on Band I and II.
  • Low brightness. Low contrast.
  • Enable Hotel mode.
  • No picture. Screen is lit as if TV was in AV. At scart input there is a semblance of out of sync picture, while at output picture is clear with a fault (like a hum).

  • No operation.
  • Picture becomes slowly brighter until flyback lines appear. (BEON - CTV1412 information)
  • Snow in picture. only on certain channels.
  • Vertical collapse.
  • Dead.
  • No horizontal synchronisation. (BEON - CTV1412 information)
  • Switches to standby. after warm-up.
  • Does not switch to standby. (CTV1412 tips)
  • White spots on some channels, flecks in picture.
  • No picture via SCART. Tuner operation OK. Videotext and other on-screen display OK. (CTV1412 BEON repair tip)
  • No tuning. intermittently.
