  • Cassette flap does not open. Cassette cannot be removed.
  • Tape is ejected when PB, FF or REW selected.
  • Sync frequency adjustment.
  • Does not load the cassette or lace up the tape. Fault may occur intermittently or constantly.
  • Does not lace up correctly. PB only after pushing play button twice. Tape loops. Cassette is not always accepted
  • Tape stuck. intermittently.
  • Tape immediately threads out after inserting cassette.
  • In service function A5 the cassette is not taken. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
  • No FF. intermittently. No REW. intermittently. PB OK . Mechanical noise.
  • Tape is not ejecting correctly. (7618908 BLAUPUNKT repair tip)
  • Intermittently tape is ejected when PB, FF or REC selected.
  • Poor loading.
  • Tape sticks to cylinder in reverse picture search.
  • After playing for a long time the appliance does not unlace. (7618908 tip from BLAUPUNKT)
  • Does not load tape. intermittently.
  • Switches off REC and PB sometimes, unlaces and rewinds.
  • The tape is cut at the lower edge of the tape on the guide flange (exploded diagram nr.147).
  • No PB.
  • Setting clock frequency.
  • Holder for pulse roller pos.110 and 107 is defective.
  • Rattle during lace-up.
  • Cassette is not accepted. Compartment is not lowered and motor does not start up.
  • REW does not function. FF to slow.
  • The cassette compartment does not lower and the compartment guide is bent.
  • PB speed changes.
  • No audio REC or old REC is not erased. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
  • Tape loops occur if reeling process is interrupted.
  • Mechanism does not move although the threading motor runs.
  • Tape looping intermittently.
  • Goes to FF or CUE.
  • Tape left out of cassette when eject is selected.
  • Defective thread in.
  • No ATTS. Drive mechanism stops after inserting cassette.
  • No start-up.
  • Tape is not thread in after eject.
  • No mechanical functions. Eject OK .
  • Poor tape guide at pinch roller.
  • Tape stuck.
  • The brass tape lever next to the pinch roller twitches during play, the take- up reel runs jerkily.
  • Difficult to insert cassette or does not accept cassette.
  • EJECTS when any function selected.
  • Loads tape then ejects immediately. intermittently.
  • Intermittent malfunction of mechanism.
  • No ATTS.
  • Appliance ejects and then re-accepts cassette again. Tape laces up but no mechanical functions. PB is OK. When ejecting cassette, mains plug must be disconnected and connected again.
  • Cassette door does not open/close or tape is damaged.
  • Does not erase audio. intermittently.
  • No deck functions when cassette inserted.
  • Does not accept tape. Display OK .
  • Starts PB then right reel table stops. Tape is too tight when coming out of supply reel table.
  • Tape damage when switching from REW to Eject or from Stop to Eject.
  • A tape can be loaded and goes to the cassette-down position but nothing else happens.
  • The right reel table does not run, appliance forms tape loops and shows F6 on the display.
  • REW is hard or hardly any REW.
  • Appliance is continually in tracking. Sometimes it functions for several seconds.
  • No drive functions, only tape draw-in and eject available.
  • Damages tape, especially with 240 mins cassettes.

  • Loads tape then ejects immediately. Switches to protection mode (intermittently).
  • Changed clutch lever pos 114 482240371173
  • Changes on operating panel MDCP1 -> MDCP2.
  • Switching on/off TV modulator.
  • Tooth segments of the front flap are damaged. (service info for BLAUPUNKT -7618908)
  • No tape movement in PB, FF or REW.
  • After EJECT, appliance loads cassette by itself.
  • Slow tape loading. Interference on picture via tuner when loading.
  • Cassette compartment goes up and down. No display.
  • Laces up tape at initialisation, but does not transport it. Clock disappears.
  • No eject. Does not accept cassette when manually wound; PB and REC OK.
  • Deck moves up/down and in/out.
  • No ATTS detection, only counter.
  • Tape is not taken up to the audio control head.
  • No functions. Left reel-table turns faintly by pulses.
  • Tape is not loaded around video head and cassette ejected after 15 secs. Cassette loading ok. (BLAUPUNKT - 7618908 information)
  • Display pos. 7102 (4822 130 91144) on MDCP1. (BLAUPUNKT - 7618908 information)
  • Faulty mechanic functions.
  • VCR doesn't respond to the RC. RC works well with the TV.
  • Does not eject normally.
  • Tapes are broken when winding or rewinding quickly and when you stop to go into PB.
  • Drive problems, eject, insert, lace up do not function or not always.
  • Tape is ejected and then drawn back.
  • Compartment moves down. Tape is not laced in. Drive jams.
  • Cassette is immediately ejected. Cassette compartment is correctly positioned in appliance. Reads in.
  • Loads tape then ejects immediately.
  • No display. No user control. Tape is lowered.
  • Loud noises when moving cassette compartment in.
  • Squeaking from the appliance and waves in the picture after some time.
  • Difficult tape drive in PB.
  • Cassette is loaded otherwise no further drive functions possible. In the Service test program under certain circumstances error code E1 (threading error) or E2 (capstan error) appears. Perhaps no display content.
  • Rewind of a VHS cassette at top speed does not respect the stop at the end of the tape if the duration of the tape is not suitably selected. No slowing down at the end of the tape. There is a risk of destroying the tape. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • Head drum motor turns but doesn't thread in after operating Play, FF, REW etc. Noise. Threads in after approx 8secs, then unthreads and switches off. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • Ejects cassette after one second in PB.
  • Mechanical rattling or cassette is ejected in FF and REW.

  • Poor load or eject.
  • Tapes tangle, sometimes eject and sometimes just switch off when PB. (BLAUPUNKT - 7618908 information)
  • No eject. Tape loops.
  • A loop of tape left out upon eject. Noisy FF and REW. Damaging tape upon PB.
  • Squeaks when lacing up or during unlacing. Does not eject and the lacing belt slips through.

  • Tape winds round capstan shaft when cassette has lowered. Display shows F1. In service function A5 the compartment goes down, capstan shaft turns immediately and transport ring turns slowly when lacing up. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • Tape is not fully laced into the cassette when ejecting (tape loop with tape damage). Slow FFW and switches back to picture search
  • Cassette is not loaded or ejected. Lacing motor runs.
  • REW and FFW are defective. CUE and REV normal.
  • Tape retracts, ATTS is not carried out, no reaction to transport mode. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • Tape stuck. in PB.
  • Lever 32F, that is operated by cam gear, comes out of its support after approx. 1-2 weeks.
  • Defective driver, clatters, accepts no tape.
  • Cassette is no longer ejected. Drive stops.
  • Cassette blocked and noise from the gears when connecting to the mains.
  • Cassette is ejected if you switch from PLAY to STOP and REV.
  • Tape is damaged. when ejected.
  • Longplay recording is not possible, loses track position.
  • FF and REW defective. Tape is initialised for a short time, then stops.
  • When trying to eject the cassette, it jams on the upper part of the operating panel.
  • Tape is not taken up.
  • Cassette is accepted and then ejected with tape loops. REW appears on display.
  • On eject command, tape is ejected, but then automatically taken back. Tape is stuck and mechanism does not function any more.
  • Lound noise from mechanism. When ejecting tape, lift loads again and ejects by itself several times.
  • Tape forms loops. When operating in service function A 5 the appliance laces up, but the video head and capstan do not turn. No further functions are taken. (with circuit diagram extract)
  • Loads tape then ejects immediately. Shuts down.
  • Occasionally, after cassette has been introduced, pre-loading does not occur. Cassette has to be ejected again. If PLAY button is pressed, appliance switches off. It can be restarted only after disconnecting mains.
  • Tape loop into the drive when it stops during REV/ FF.
  • Tape stuck inside when switching from REW or FF to eject.
  • Drive does not work correctly and is noisy.
  • Intermittently tape loop on eject.
  • PAL chrominance writing current adjustment.
  • Sometimes cassette sticks against flap.
  • Luminance PB level adjustment.
  • Appliance does not accept the cassette (not even in service function A5)
  • White frequency adjustment.
  • Deck threads very slowly.
  • OK for short time from standby or when tape inserted; then immediately ejects tape and goes back to standby.
  • Does not accept tape.

  • Cassette is not retracted. Display lights up. No function.

  • Creases tapes. Noise bands on screen. Displays "TRACK".
  • Ejects tape after 5 seconds of rewind.

  • Tape stuck. After removing does not accept tapes.
  • No mechanical functions.
  • Intermittent tape loops.
  • Does not load cassette completely. Accepts cassette, briefly REW and then ejects.
  • Loud rattling when rewinding. FF ok.

  • Deck goes to REW for approx 2 secs repeating 3 times then goes to FF for 4 secs then EJECTS tape. Accepts tape OK. Half load arm loads OK.
  • Luminance writing current adjustment.
  • Accepts a tape, loads up, then immediately ejects, leaving tape looped inside.
  • Tape stuck. when ejected.
  • Tapes E30 and E60 are damaged at the start of the tape after rewind if long play is selected. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • No reeling possible, otherwise everything OK.
  • New capacitors 2620 and 2622. (with circuit diagram extract)
  • Tape is lowered into cassette compartment but comes up again immediately.
  • Drive does not lace up properly. Tape guide bolt does not reach video head disk. Sluggish drive and does not unlace. Switches off by itself. (service info for BLAUPUNKT -7618908)
  • When unlacing the tape lever remains pressed on and the threading ring does not go to its starting position.
  • Threading motor seized up and its drive chip burnt out.
  • Al expulsar la cinta, la cinta no sale del casete y se queda atascada.

  • Cassette loader gear often jumps.
  • Small end cog splits then slips when torque is applied.
  • Tape is damaged. No audio.
