List of fault symptoms:

- 1,6A fuse and TP29C blow at start up.

- Shuts down.
- Picture is correct. Impossible to change channels or to adjust volume with the control panel or the RCU. The latter appears not to function.
- White dots (like satellite sparkles).

- Slow start-up (when cold).

- No colour. via SCART.
- TL19 blows after operating for 20 mins. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
- Low tension collapses.
- No signal (intermittently). (BRANDT - 63753T information)
- No raster, no sound. Trips once at switch on.
- Unstable picture. intermittently. No synchronisation. intermittently.
- Goes into standby or stops.
- Green colour at start up for 20secs. After heating up for 10mins, screen is completely green with a flyback line. (part of circuit diagram displayed)

- Raster fault: white line.
- Erratic picture.
- TV functions for approx 1 min then switches off, red light present. The same in standby. Press On/Off twice and TV starts up again for 1 min before cutting out. Demand increase to 0.65A. (picture attached)
- Switches off completely after hours/days, also the stand by LED is off. By pressing the mains button or pulling out or plugging in the plug, PSU starts up again and runs perfectly. Not knock or temperature sensitive.
- HT tries to build up for 1 sec then everything stops. No power supply secondary voltage. If line transformer disconnected, voltages go up again.
- TL19 blows continuously.

- Starts up, EHT audible and goes into standby.
- No picture. Audio OK .
- Height varies from normal to excessive. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
- DP50 (BY228 or BYT71-800 ) is defective. (63753T tips)
- ICC7321AN, IF01 and TDA8178FS become S/C at Power On. (63753T tips)
- No colour in picture or OSD with severe yellow dominance. When measured on an oscilloscope RGB signals present with no chroma content. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
- Resistor (0R68) blows in power supply. (with circuit diagram extract)
- When switching to standby, red LED switches off and no start up is possible.

- Switching to AV.
- Poor focus.

- Picture and sound unsynchronised in French channel, OK in Belgium channel.

- After rerouting from pin 3 of line transformer and installing a 100W bulb the lamp come on for 3 secs then goes off. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
- Sound crackles. Picture shifted during RF and grain in French reception. Picture ok in Belgium reception. Picture becomes normal with fine tuning.
- Canal Plus in B/W. No switching switch.
- Colour fault.
- Red and green flashes during PB at times.
- One coloured circle appears for several secs on screen after switch off.

- No brightness.
- Dark screen, smell of ozone. Sound ok.
- Picture is missing 2cm at the top of the screen and there are also lines at the top of the screen, impossible to adjust.

- Line BU2508AF defective.
- Light and contrast are at minimum. Picture is ok. When you increase light and contrast picture becomes negative. Yellow is dominant, red point at the centre in picture pause.

- Gun effect "pumped".

- Only lines on channel 57 and 60. Channel 63 ok.
- Secondary voltages oscillate. Oscillations of at least 1 or 2V on Us. 318V on collector BUH515.

- TL19 (S20AF) is destroyed immediately after switch on.

- RL26 is burnt.

- Interference noises in all programmes..
- No front panel function.

- Dark picture with spiralling colours towards left hand side.

- Frame is only 1inch.
- At switch on top 2 inches of screen has field jitter, followed by loss of video, RCU and front controls.
- Reduced horizontal size.

- Channels change at random, graphics.
- Noise in audio. at low volume.

- Poor vertical linearity.

- Television switches "OFF" as power supply enters full power regulation mode.
- TL19 S/C.
- After operating for a moment begins to scan all channels stopping briefly on those stored. (BRANDT - 63753T information)

- No E/W distortion. E/W phase and amplitude control do not react.

- Coloured screen with flyback lines.

- Flickering at top. Luminance and chroma flashing ON/OFF.

- Power supply stuck in standby mode.

- White screen at switch on. No sound. No operation from control panel and RC. Starts up if switch is pressed several times. After switch off everything blocks again.

- At power up, louder than usual EHT can be heard to rustle up, green power LED lit then appliance dies alongwith LED.

- Linearity fault. Picture amplitude too large and E/W distortion cannot be adjusted.
- FBT heats up and blows.

- Blurry picture.
- Blocks on channel 1 which is permanently displayed. If P+- pressed, no command at start up. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
- No green.
- Mains fuse has a short life expectancy. The current which crosses it has a pulse appearance of 0.5ms positive and negative whose pin is close to 1.6A. (63753T tip from BRANDT)
- Sound cannot be controlled, goes to full volume intermittently and the sound menu is missing.
- No picture and no sound following a storm. No OSD.

- Channels run through when front control is operated.
- Field output IC repeatedly fails every 2-3 weeks. (picture attached)
- No start up. LED flashed once.

- Faint vertical lines.
- Faulty red and blue convergence.

- Intermittently great discharge.

- Switches to standby. after start-up.
- Line tearing, especially by grid pattern.
- No control from RC. Function ok from TV but dead if button is released.
- Linearity error. Too high picture amplitude. No E/W correction.

- Blank raster on TXT. 4" band of red & green streaks at bottom intermittently.
- Poor sound, noisy. Switches between stereo and mono.
- Trips once at switch-on.

- Venetian blind effect in background.
- Starts up and then stops.

- When you put the TV into standby the power supply cuts out. If you stop it with the switch the TV starts up again normally when you switch on again.

- When you switch on you hear line scanning which starts up for a second then goes to standby. Occasionally normal start up several times in succession.
- At switch on front LED lights up red for 1 or 2 secs then goes out. EHT pulse is heard for a short time. Everything is blocked in safety mode.

- ID01 (TA8751AN) and RD21 (10R) on board CDI2000 fail.

- Volume and mute controls do not function after a while, OSD present. When put into standby and then back on, sound disappears.
- Wavy picture.

- Power supply of IR01 (ST6391).
- Very dark and predominately magenta coloured picture which looks slightly negative.
- RF noise and no picture.

- No HT. Power supply starts up OK. When stimulated with external voltage to +12V from line transformer, HT starts up but pulsates quickly. (picture attached)
- Crack can be heard in appliance, then horizontal bars in picture and sound buzzes.
- Noise at start up.LED flickers.

- No TXT. OSD OK .
- Venetian blind effect of horizontal lines superimposed on picture.
- Production mode. Occasionally may go into production mode in a random fashion (A red "P" appears on the screen).
- Switches to standby. LED is red .

- No PAL colour via aerial or scart.
- No colour when receiving satellite programmes via scart. Colour ok with terrestrial transmissions.
- Normal in TV but in scart with a game or a PC, vertical and horizontal shrinkage of the picture with a white line at the base. The same when scart is disconnected. TV must be switched off before it works again.
- No station tuning. Tuning menu display ok.
- TV functions at start up then cuts out after 2 minutes. If you switch it off then on again, it functions again for approx 30 secs and so on. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
- Excessive brightness. Flyback lines.

- Picture size varies with brightness.

- Sound barely audible.

- OSG are permanently on screen.
