CL29RF / CLAYTON [TV 70-74 (66-70) cm picture]

List of fault symptoms:
- White horizontal stripes in picture.
- Tripping. Red LED blinks.
- Memory loss.

- PSU switches on only if the value of the trimmer resistor is increased to VR800.
- Reduced vertical and horizontal size.

- Reduced vertical size. Excessive horizontal size. No picture. intermittently.
- No PSU start up.
- Vertical collapse.

- No function. Standby LED flashes. Start up attempts audible from the PSU.
- Starts up from standby. LED goes green. Intermittent or no picture.
- Power supply cuts out.
- Top half of picture is black. Flyback lines in the middle. Picture is intermittently OK.
- Noisy picture. Only a blue square. Sound OK.
- No start up. Standby LED does not light up. Faint ticking from the loudspeakers.
- Dark picture. after a while.
- Pincushion distortion. Picture too big.
- Audio disappears. 5min timer appears in OSD, then counts down and switches off. Fault occurs intermittently.
- Reduced horizontal size. Stripes in picture. on the left.

- No start-up from standby.
- Buzzing noise from speakers when first turned on. Sometimes picture interference too.
- Mains fuse fails immediately after start-up.
- No start-up. LED blinks .
- Dark picture (intermittently).
- No vertical deflection.
- R639 (10K) burns.
- Remains in standby, LED becomes slightly darker after switch on (1sec) then brighter again.
- Dead. Tripping audio via left speaker.
- Poor picture. Flyback lines.

- No line drive.
- Picture is too bright and blurred sporadically. Error occurs when CRT board is tapped.
- No picture. TXT OK .
- Poor vertical linearity. Vertical foldover at bottom.

- E/W fault. Excessive horizontal size.
- LED flashes 2-3 times green and then switches back to standby.
- Option codes.
- Appliance does not switch on, no LED display, a constant click from PSU.
- No picture. Coloured lines.
- Dead. LED lit. .

- Trips back to standby after switch-on.
- Picture too small.

- Stuck in standby. Red LED pulses. Chirping noise from switch-mode transformer.
- Shuts down. after start-up.
- Clicking noise. via speakers (intermittently).
- Beeping sound in STANDBY mode from power supply.

- Starts up immediately in protective switching. (Pumps.)
- No audio. No picture.
- Tripping.
- Switches to standby. intermittently. LED flickers .
- Switches to standby. Standby LED flashes .
- PSU IC800 is defective.
- Squealing noise. intermittently.
- No picture. Audio OK .
- Horizontal bars run through picture.
- No S correction.
- No start-up.
- Horizontal line.
- Insufficient E/W defelction, Error decreases when warming up.
- Pulsating picture. Jagged verticals. Picture size varies.
- D606 overheats.
- PSU pulsates. at start-up.
- Small corrugations and no audio after start-up. After warm-up there is gurgling audio. Picture and audio OK after a while.
- No front panel function.
- Vertical line.
- Red standby LED is lit, red changes to green during start via RC. Audible start up attempts.
- No TXT. No OSD.
- No picture. No EHT. Audio OK.
- Ticking noise. LED blinks .
- PSU and D800 (BA159) blown.
- Disable child lock.
- Standby OK. When switched on, the appliance tries to start. Cuts up and LED alternates green-red.
- Picture is folded over from the top and approx 5 cm are missing from upper picture edge. (CLAYTON - CL29RF information)
- +UB control range is incorrect. +UB cannot be adjusted to minimum 155V.
- Enter service mode. (service info for CLAYTON -CL29RF)
- Power supply fault.
- ATP is performed but no channel stored. All program positions are on channel 5. If channel is input manually, fine tuning drifts off tune. (CL29RF tip from CLAYTON)
- Popping noise from speakers and squeak from power supply twice a second. Standby LED does not lit.
- PSU pulsates.
- Dead. Standby LED lit .
- No start-up. LED is green.
- No sound. Cannot call up installation menu.
- PSU pumps at start-up.
- Picture brightness fluctuates or becomes increasingly darker, may intermittently be completely black.
- No RC after some time, later ok again. OSD displays tear after some time.
- Geometry fault.

- Geometry settings.
- No function, mains BU fails repeatedly. (CLAYTON - CL29RF information)
- Dead. PSU ticking.
- PSU faulty.
- Stuck in standby. Faint ticking noise audible, which changes frequency when keys are pressed.
- No or intermittent start-up. Snow in picture. No RC functions.
- Tripping. intermittently.
- Switches after start up from standby to green and goes back to standby.
- Picture too wide. Height is normal. E/W not ok. Slight bowing in the TXT.
- Reduced vertical and horizontal size. No STEREO.
- No or intermittent picture. Dark picture.
- E/W fault. (CL29RF CLAYTON repair tip)
- PSU does not start. LED is off. Low ticking.
- Chirping.
- Only half a picture, top is black. Picture has folded over.
- Shuts down, after a while. Coloured spots remain on screen.
- Black line in top and bottom of screen in 16:9 mode.
- No sound menu in main menu and no sound.
- BU2508AF fails after a few seconds.
- Switches to standby. LED is red .
- Lines in picture.
- Menu is only in English. Cannot change values in service mode. Picture is in 16/9 format.
- No audio. Popping noise from speakers. No audio options in menu.
- EEPROM settings. (CLAYTON - CL29RF information)
- Oversized picture. Picture rolls over at upper picture edge when TXT is called up. Only blue picture via AV. (service info for CLAYTON -CL29RF)
- No start-up from standby. LED blinks . Arcing.
- White dashes on picture when cold.
- Primary of PSU pulsating.
- Blows D808 in secondary PSU when bringing set out of standby. Squealing from PSU at switch-on.
- Dead. Standby LED flashes .
- Stuck in standby. (CL29RF tip from CLAYTON)
- Line output transistor fails repeatedly.
