TLD101 / DANTAX [TV]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for TLD101 / DANTAX.

List of fault symptoms:
  • No line oscillation.
  • Only starts on remote.

  • Excessive vertical size.

  • Weak contrast.

  • Brightness varies.
  • No picture. OSD OK .
  • Yellow picture.
  • Dead. after lightning strike.
  • Picture jitters at the top and bottom and lines after 30 mins. (TLD101 tips)
  • Distorted audio (only on certain channels).

  • Arcing effect on high brightness. (TLD101 DANTAX repair tip)
  • Switches off by itself. at high volume.
  • R528 (10K) and C524 (220nF) keeps failing.
  • No RC functions.
  • No reception.
  • No EE or PB picture.
  • IC304 (TDA7263M) fails repeatedly.
  • Intermittently no colour, field foldover and loss of horizontal shift.
  • Horizontal line.
  • Vertical fault. at top.
  • Picture remain visible in standby, but without colours, contrast, or brightness.
  • No function. Standby is not lit.
  • Does not switch to standby.
  • Vertical collapse.
  • Noise or click from PSU. No start-up.
  • Noise in audio (intermittently).
  • Does not shut down.
  • LED lights, no function.
  • No channels. No picture, only snow.

  • Horizontal dark lines in centre of screen.
  • Flyback lines. intermittently.
  • RC code HQ.
  • Coloured lines. at top.

  • White screen. Flyback lines.
  • Retrace lines. Excessive brightness.
  • Defective menu, no OSD.
  • Flyback transformer slightly chirps.
  • Dead.
  • No colour; lines; jumping - worse on bright scenes. (service info for DANTAX -TLD101)
  • No TXT.
  • Black streak in lower part and half a picture in upper part of the screen.
  • HT does not function.
  • No picture. Audio OK . (TLD101 DANTAX repair tip)
  • Blank raster. Audio and OSD OK .
  • Basic features.
  • Flyback transformer is defective.
  • Wow in audio.
  • Two bright lines approx 0,40 inches at lower and upper part of screen.
  • Supply voltage adjustment. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
  • Distorted audio from central speaker.
  • Intermittent low gain.
  • No picture.
  • Intermittent colour. after warm-up.
  • No start-up.
  • Dark screen. Audio OK .
  • Crackling noise.
  • No colour.
  • OSD shifts or wrong colours when changing channels with RC.
  • Line output transistor (2SD1541) has blown.
  • No function, goes to standby, red LED is on. Does not start up with RC.
  • Picture darkens then goes back to normal.

  • Short non-linear frame (may improve as set warms up).
  • PSU defective.
  • No start-up. Relay clicks .
  • Picture size increases and decreases. (DANTAX - TLD101 information)
  • Screen adjustments.
  • Slow start-up. in standby.
  • No functions with RC, only the internet functions.
  • Horizontal lines at top 3-4 inches.
  • Poor picture. Low contrast.
  • Linearity coil humming.
  • No E/W correction.
  • AGC adjustment. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
  • Comes on for a short time. Switches to standby.
  • No colour. Reduced vertical size.
  • TV stuck on standard BG or DK. Cannot switch to L.
  • Geometry adjustment.
  • No colour. Snow in picture.
