supplies the following faults for 2000 / DEMOLUX.
List of fault symptoms:
- Top part of the picture is too wide, the bottom part is too narrow
- Distorted low with buzz similar to quad coil off.
- RL24 (2K2) in line scan circuit burnt.
- Three coloured lines at top of picture when channel change selected.

- Oversized picture on top and narrow picture at the bottom.

- Only top two thirds of picture are scanned. Picture folds over.
- Rolls and flips over 1 or 2 times a min intermittently.
- Flyback lines present regardless of height.
- No channel search.

- Very bright screen with low height and top foldover. Screen control seems to act as a height control.
- No signal. via SCART. OK via SCART .

- Frame cramped and rolling at switch ON.
- TR112 and T102 line output transformer both S/C. (20").

- 4" of distorted field scan.
- Standby LED flickers on a regular basis.
- No video with CPC464 computer.
- Vertical deflection is defective.
- Line collapse and burn damage.
- No reception.
- Tuning fault, skips channel numbers when operating the selection button.
- Intermittent breaks.
- No OSD. Tuning OK .
- Sound barely increases and programming menu does not appear.
- Ragged verticals at high brightness.

- Cramped field with low height.

- Set intermittently displays a narrow, rippling picture.
- 1.6A fuse blows at switch on.
- Low HV.
- Poor synchronisation.

- Enter service mode.
- No start up. HT increases for 1 sec then stops, even standby. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
- Shuts down.
- Picture flashes on and off when first turned on.
- Loss of channel memory.

- Cuts out when cold. Standby LED on front panel is lit. Occasionally picture returns by tapping towards HT mains, in black and white or in colour.
- Erratic functions.
- Height varies or intermittent field collapse.
- Replacement of integrated circuits by ST6392B1/TT.
- After a few mins starts to whine loudly and ragged picture. No adjustment of sound.
- Very slight hum in the speaker in standby.
- Transistor TP10 (S2000AB) fails after a few days.
- Picture covered in light, thin bands.
- Non-linear scan. Cramped in middle and stretched at top and bottom.
- Flyback lines with horizontally centered TXT underneath.
- Interference on channel 3 and channel 4.
- Line foldover in the middle of screen. Chrominance fault in B/W intermittently.
- No signal.
- Enable Hotel mode.
- No audio. after a few hours.
- Line transistor is defective. After replacement defective again after 5 min.
- Modification to prevent hum in standby mode.
- Line BU (BU508) becomes warm and blows. At base of BU there are double pulses.
- Excessive horizontal size. No horizontal synchronisation.
- Blue picture. Retrace lines.
- TXT lines through centre of picture.
- Cannot switch channels using keyboard and RC.
- Child lock key is indicated on screen.

- Picture is blue or red with flickering colours causing picture to flash. Picture OK when warm.
- Intermittent severe hum bars when warm.
- Bands moving upward. Line tearing.

- PSU transistor blown.

- White, bright image, image barely recognizable. (picture attached)
- No field sync when brightness increased.

- Three inches in from left - "ghosts" (white lines).
- Intermittently whistle from the horizontal output stage.
- Reduced vertical size.
- Comes on for a short time.

- Partial collapse of picture. Flashing lines at bottom of picture.
- A faint patch develops on the left hand side about half way down on a blue raster. This shows up as a slightly darker shade of blue, vertical lines on the left side bend around this patch.
- Unstable picture.
- Intermittent tuning drift, humbar or field roll.
- Down the centre of the screen are flyback lines with teletext lines below.
- Line tearing.
- Pink screen at start up then picture comes in black and white for 1 min.
- Intermittent signal. Weak signal.
- Noise bars.
- Apparent cut off lines and blue flashes.

- Burning/fuse not blown.

- Vertical deflection defective. Dark picture.

- Slow start-up. when cold.

- Black screen. No audio. after warm-up.
- White raster with visible retrace lines. Pink raster when hot. OSD OK.

- Four inches of distorted field scan.
- No picture. Blank raster (intermittently).
- Horizontal collapse. intermittently.
- Coloured horizontal lines over the screen. Black and white picture.
- No remote volume/colour.

- TP01 (BUT12A) fails after longer operation while.

- Teletext is missing and picture switches off and on.
- The channels have shifted 9 channels.
- No picture. in PB.
- 95V rail low and set-up potentiometer inoperative.
- Searches for channels continuously.
- Switches off by itself (at start-up).
- No channels.
- Intermittently trips when starting up. After starting up, frame frequency oscillates for a short while.
- Low sound centre of v/c. Sound falls off as v/ c increases.
- No tuning. Skips channel numbers when selector button is pressed.

- Band on picture

- Vertical collapse (after warm-up).
- Vertical strips of shading that vary with brightness.
- Blown fuse FD702 (8A) on DC-DC converter board.
- Always comes on in standby. Could remove standby by remote or channel step. When on sound and picture ok.

- No OSD.
- S/C in line output transformer and transistor.

- CTV does not start up. Standby LED on.

- When volume level is increased the sound crackles and the colour drops out.
- Field collapse or scan is reduced, severe non linearity.

- Field scan reduces to few ins then collapses after short time.
- "Lock" on the screen.
- Attempts to start up, then dead. LED lights up brightly for a moment, then dims slowly.
- Snow in picture. intermittently.
- No picture or faint picture if A1 advanced.

- Slow start-up.
- Field collapse or partial collapse with no video information.
- Every 2 days S2000 fails without an obvious reason.
- Faint picture. Contrast and brightness controls inoperative.
- Production changes: tuner types.
- Line output transistor fails repeatedly.
- Only faint watery image when first anode increased.
- Frequency does not agree with the channel.
- Dead (intermittently).
- Hum bar present on picture going upwards.
- Foldover or frame cramp.
- Reduced vertical deflection. intermittently.
- Sound and picture are missing, slight line whistle.
- Tuning fault (channels jump continually, if the battery converter TA127 has a high ambient temperature).
- Screen goes red then intermittently becomes black. Fault occurs at switch on or after a few hours.
- No sound or picture (faint line whistle).

- Ragged verticals more evident when picture bright.
- Small horizontal coloured lines over the whole screen and flickering. OK in black and white. (picture attached)
- Tuning drifts.
- TP01 (BUT12A) fails after operation while.
- Horizontal lines.
- Grainy picture on all channels.

- Blocks in all functions after fitting the TXT board VT8004. Screen remains dark.
- Reduced height raster (no picture or sound).
- Snowy picture, channels 1 to 8 cannot be stored in memory, but 9 to 16 can.
- Several red, green and blue lines in upper picture part. Intermittently vertical stripe. After short switch off, picture is OK again.
- No signal (intermittently).
- Vertical collapse or linearity faults.
- Occasional collapse.
- No reception. in TXT.
- Scan is non linear, cramped at centre, top and bottom are stretched.

- Intermittent field roll (flips over 1-2 times a minute).

- Excessive vertical size.
- Occasionally field bounce and height varies.
- After approx 1 week IC902 loses its memory.
- No 95V on line output transistor.
- Incorrect line frequency.
- Poor picture. Negative picture.
- Poor synchronisation (after warm-up).
- Picture blanks out, parts of the screen go black or thick lines over picture (may take days for the fault to show).
- After turning up brightness and contrast, sound and synchronisation is lost.
- Line whistle.
- No raster.
- BUT12 S/C and TEA2261 blows, after replacing them, TV does not start up and sawtooth on TEA2261 pin 10, functions in pulses. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
- No RC functions.
- Rhythmic interruption of the picture, sound is correct. With the oscilloscope identical interruption of the video is noted on pin 6 of the IF module.
- On a very dark picture, very dark red vertical bar at the far right of the screen. (picture attached)
- TP01 (BUT12A) fails after longer operating time
- Low 95V rail and set-up potentiometer does not function.
- Snowy picture which does not vary even when changing channel.
- Partial vetical collapse and flickering lines at the bottom.

- No function possible, for the most part display is present on the screen.
- Standby LED is dark.
- The T9062V line driver transistor TR67 is short-circuit and the safety resistor R222 damages its collector circuit.
- No picture. No sound Channel indicator and channel change OK.
- No picture (after a few minutes).
- Failure of IC293. Loss of tuning memory.
- Picture pulsates between or snowy picture in tuner reception. Ok in scart. (2000 tips)

- Corrugated ripple on vertical content.
- Loud hum, sounds like mains transformer being overloaded when first switched on. Picture present , no sound, only hum. After 1 minute set shuts down.
