EVR101 / EUROPHON [Video recorder -Beta]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for EVR101 / EUROPHON.

List of fault symptoms:
  • No PB.
  • Intermittently the timer record display is missing. (EVR101 tips)
  • REW and FF are not carried through, the appliance switches off shortly after REW or FF is activated.
  • No picture in REC mode.
  • Special requirements. (service info for EUROPHON -EVR101)
  • Pinch roller drops out intermittently.
  • Hum in audio.
  • Low audio in E-E mode.
  • Noise in picture.
  • The tape counter counts backwards during forward and play.
  • No sound during EE operation.
  • No servo-lock on playback of tapes.
  • No functions.
  • Intermittently switches off, goes from PB or REC to stop.
  • Will not eject tape or playback.
  • Faulty colour in PB.
  • When the appliance is cold, there is interference in the picture (as if the video head were defective).
  • No colour.
  • No REW.
  • No E-E or playback.
  • Tape counter counts forward in REW mode.
  • Indicator light flickers but no function. Clock display on, no power indicator light.
  • Stops intermittently during tape functions. (EVR101 tip from EUROPHON)
  • Loss of servo lock in REC only. PB of pre-recorded tapes ok.
  • In EE the pictures from the stations are distorted or have black lines (also in PB).
  • VCR laces up but does not play.
  • Dead.
  • Appliance does not start and the power control light does not light up.
  • Plays for 30 seconds then stops.
  • Loud squeaking noise during forward and rewind.
  • The clock on the appliance runs fast
  • Doesn't switch off.
  • Does not switch off.
  • Audio hum in PB.
  • No timer function.
  • The appliance does not unlace when stop is pushed.
  • No picture in REC.
  • VCR will not play or record (Keys keep unlatching).
  • Appliance is dead, clock ok.
  • Switches off sporadically.
  • Intermittently PB does not function.
  • Does not shut down.
  • No power. Timer wait indicator on.
  • No picture in record but EE and playback ok.
  • No counter.
  • Noisy audio.
  • Tape end switch off does not work.
  • Machine will not rewind or fast forward (EVR101 tips)
  • No REC. PB OK.
  • Intermittent capstan motor rotation.
  • The cassette is not ejected or does not rewind.
  • Distorted picture in E-E and PB modes.
  • No PB or FF.
  • During playback the symptoms are like faulty video heads.
  • After inserting the cassette, the appliance laces up partly and goes to stop.
  • No clock display.
  • Distorted picture.
  • A few seconds after PLAY has been selected the appliance stops, other functions ok.
