FC20AS / FIMI [20" monitors]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for FC20AS / FIMI.

  • Deflection transistor fails after high voltage has built up for a short time.
  • High voltage is defective, no picture.
  • Line tearing in Graphic mode 640X480 and in TXT mode. With higher resolutions everything ok after replacing C34 (560nF/250V).
  • No function.
  • E/W fault.
  • No picture.
  • Dead.

  • S/C in the line output stage.
  • Screen shakes as unit warms up.
  • Dead. V21 and V66 S/C. After replacing, unstable picture width and after a short operating time both transistors fail again.
  • Line does not sync with all resolutions.
  • RGB connections and sync HV are connected to micro computer but when horizontal sync is disconnected, picture appears. Everything OK if you wait a few mins and then reconnect.

  • When switching over the resolution from 1024x768 to 800x600 and to 480x640 appliance switches off the high voltage.
  • Fails uncontrollably - not shock sensitive.
