C2257H / GEC [TV]

List of fault symptoms:
- Colour flashes.

- Raster is bright with flyback lines.
- Picture is grainy and sound noisy.
- Intermittent horizontal and shaky picture.
- Ghosting effect.
- Tuning drifts.
- Incorrect line speed or unstable control, possibly intermittent.
- Brightness fault.
- Inadequate raster and no signal.
- Appliance comes on in standby only.
- Low gain.
- Frame oscillator does not function.
- Intermittent chroma.
- Picture is missing, raster and sound ok.
- No start-up.
- Dead.
- Low A1s.
- Bright raster especially on right hand side. Stripes.
- Flickering picture.
- Picture and sound are missing, raster and sound are noisy.
- Reduced vertical size.
- Vertical jitter.
- Cramped or stretched at top; cramped, frame creep or foldover at bottom.
- Picture and sound are missing, EHT ok.
- Frame synchronisation poor.
- Stuck in standby.
- Poor picture quality, smearing, milkiness or glistening on peak whites.
- EHT is missing, line timebase ok.
- Top of screen has field cramp.
- Bars in picture.
- Too much width.
- Picture is very dark, A1 is low.
- Bright picture.
- The picture was overbright.
- Brightness uncontrollable, shaded picture dark to light.
