CTV70100 / INTERVISION [TV (Standard)]

supplies the following faults for CTV70100 / INTERVISION.
List of fault symptoms:
- Intermittent audio.
- Reduced horizontal size.
- Vertical collapse. (with circuit diagram extract)
- RC doesn't function. Geometry changes.
- Line transistor is dead.
- No audio. Picture OK . (picture attached)
- No picture. No OSD. Audio OK .
- HV builds up and then switches off again
- Enter service mode.
- Noise at stereo. (CTV70100 INTERVISION repair tip)
- Poor picture. Vertical jitter, lines run diagonally through the picture.
- Dark picture. (picture attached)
- Line output transistor fails repeatedly (after a few minutes).
- Blocks intermittently and no operation via RC and control panel
- Picture becomes darker after approx 3 mins, only poorly visible contours. Sound OK.
- No audio (intermittently).
- Left or right speaker fail intermittently.
- Wavy vertical lines across the entire picture, in particular on the right hand side edge, but can be across the entire picture and waves fluctuate.
- No sound via SCART. No VDS (Virtual Dolby Surround) menu. Sound via tuner OK.
- Insufficient picture height. Approx 2cm missing at the top and bottom.
- Sound drops spontaneously out and "Mono" OSD appears on screen. Sound missing for a while, then ok again.
- Overdriven picture, severe red streaking depending on the picture signal. Reddish horizontal lines and white horizontal lines during crosshatch pattern.
- No picture. Excessive brightness. OSD and TXT OK .
- Disable child lock.
- Bright raster. Audio OK . (picture attached)
- Sound becomes intermittently quieter or fails completely. Fault reacts to chassis movement.
- Model release/pricing information.
- Picture has shifted.
- Attempts to start up but keeps switching back to standby.
- Poor synchronisation. Picture rolls.

- Line tearing. E/W fault.
- Switches to standby (intermittently). Knock sensitive. (CTV70100 tips)

- No raster.
- Line transistor becomes very hot.

- No or intermittent start-up. Knock sensitive.
- E/W fault, strong indentation. (part of circuit diagram displayed)

- Dead. LED lights up for a short time after start-up and then switches off.
- E/W fault. Appliance does not switch off, picture can be observed.
- No picture content. No geometry data and no RC.
- Horizontal lines.
- No picture. intermittently. Audio OK .

- E/W fault. Excessive vertical size.
- Volume varies.

- Starts normally via mains switch. But switches suddenly in standby when pressing any key on RC.
- G2 adjustment.
- Standby switches briefly on. Brief crackle from the DST when LED is on, is repeated every 5 sec.
- Sound disappears after a few minute, sound reappears after programme change for a few minutes when no control, switches to standby.
- No picture, no sound. LED changes constantly from green to red.

- Line ragging. Popping sound from line output transformer.
- Slight brightness fluctuations after approx. 10 min. and picture has slight blue tinge. (CTV70100 tip from INTERVISION)
- LED lights up for a short time, flashover at line transformer, then LED lights up again for a short time. (+ extract of circuit diagram)

- Picture suddenly becomes considerably wider when warm (picture attached)

- No picture content. TXT is visible. Sound present. H/V defelction is present.

- No picture, no sound. Appliance ticks in second intervals.
- Starts up normally, picture remains dark.
- Switches to standby after brief power consumption.

- No picture. via RF output.

- Picture too small, black edge 2cm at the top and bottom, left and right.
- TXT jitters.

- Picture too big. E/W cannot be corrected in the service menu. Picture is slightly squashed.

- Dark picture or picture becomes dark after a short operating time.
- Starts with mechanic reset after inserting mains plug. Display flashes, then switches off. "Digital" appears in display.
- No audio. Picture OK. Switches to standby, intermittently. No RC functions. OK after several switch-ons.
- Picture has folded over at the top and three multicoloured lines in approx. three thirds of the picture.
- Q307 becomes very warm. (with circuit diagram extract)
- Switches to standby. intermittently.
- G2 cannot be adjusted. Brightness changes with focus control. (CTV70100 tips)
- No configuration data. TXT vibrates.
- Black stripes.
- HV builds up, switches then off. Sound remains.
- No picture. OSD and TXT OK .
- Defective rectifier and after replacement PSU whistles from time to time and then goes defective again. (CTV70100 tips)

- Streaks in picture.

- Switches on again after 30sec after having been switched to standby. Remains in standby when "SYSTEM MAINS standby" is set in the menu. Only LED flickers intermittently.
- LED lights after start-up and then no function.

- Some lines on upper picture are folded over.
