3568 66118007 / ITT [TV]
The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers
supplies the following faults for 3568 / ITT.
List of fault symptoms:
- When the operating temperature has been reached the PSU intermittently switches off. Preceeding this, a deviation of the PSU frequency (chirping) may be heard which frequently results in the destruction of the line switching transistor. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
- Remains in PAL on channels 1 and 2.
- Cracking noises from the speakers when you switch off the appliance with the RCU. When switching off with the mains switch these noises do not occur. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
- No TV or scart sound.
- Teletext too far to the left. (picture attached)
- Distorted picture and sound. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
- No video or standard switching. (picture attached)
- The appliance occasionally switches to standby. (ITT - 3568 information)
- Does not start up. 300V present.
- TXT positioned too far to left.
- The screen is white. (service info for ITT -3568)
- Impossible to go to standard LL as the appliance remains locked in standard BG. (extract of circuit diagram attached) (ITT - 3568 information)
- Picture has shifted horizontally.
- No operation in band V. The control voltage blocks at 7V.
- No chrominance, luminance and contrast on Digi B chassis (TV 3878, 3578, 3888, 3598). (ITT - 3568 information)
- Picture out of alignment horizontally.
- Line foldover.
- No colour, brightness and contrast on the DIGI B chassis (TV 3878, 3578, 3888, 3598).
- No sound. No colour. Intermittently no synchronisation. (ITT - 3568 information)
- Line foldover on start-up. Synchronization is OK after operation while.
- No memory of average values (eg. the volume is at maximum on start up).
- IC TDA8371 is no longer manufactured. TDA8382 is supplied as a substitute, but it does not work at first after it has been installed. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
- As a replacement TDA8372 or TDA8372A is supplied, which however necessitate a modification of the IC periphery.
- The synchron separator-/horizontal-/vertical-oscillator-IC TDA8371 is no longer manufactured. TDA8371 is supplied as a replacement but does not work at first after it has been fitted. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
- The appliance is out of tune on all tracks.
- The appliance goes out of tune in VHF.
- Line tearing.
- Line jitter in AV mode.
- No tuning. Higher channels in band I/III/V are not received.
- After correctly adjusting the Cut-Off and Drive adjustment during test pattern the white balance changes with the picture contents (digital vision).
- No sound or the sound is nasal.
- The appliance does not start up. The standby light is weak. (with circuit diagram extract)
- No start-up from standby. (ITT - 3568 information)
- One track sound only and the stereo light is lit up.
- After switching from band 1 or 4 to band 3 there is no reception from band 3. After a short period no reception on band 3 whatsoever. (picture attached)
- The light is too strong and the appliance goes into safety mode. (picture attached)
- Line tearing. Vertical stripes are jagged.
- Picture is brighter on one side.
- 10cm of the picture is missing on the left side of the screen. (3568 tips)
