5530OSCAR / ITT [TV]

• Shuts down (intermittently).
• The appliance carries out steps of operation without being programmed to eg. it switches off, changes programme, the sound level changes etc.
• Difficult start up. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
• No audio. No picture.
• The line shakes in the top part of the picture. The V amplitude jumps.
• Comes on in standby, but will not start. Sometimes will come on if left in standby until set warm. (picture attached)
• Takes time to light up. Sound ok.
• Picture appears after a while.
• Black picture with flyback lines. No channel display and no reaction to RC.
• Starts intermittently. Standby LED flashes when trying to start. Rattles or chirps.
• Tripping.

• A "vibrating" TT clock appears for a short time in PB. Clock can be switched off with RC.
• Stuck in standby.
• No VHF via band 1. Lower special channels are missing. Display ok but no picture and no sound. (part of circuit diagram displayed)

• Faint picture. Grey or slightly green picture when operating without aerial.

• When the operating temperature is reached the PSU switches off after various periods of time. Before this a deviation from the mains frequency may be heard (chirping), which often distorts the line drive transistor. (picture attached)
• Intermittently line output transistor blows.
• Sometimes no switch on. Squeaks and squeals. No mains disconnection.
• Almost no vertical/horizontal synchronisation.
• Screen in AV mode and "00" on display.
