5530PS IDEALCOLOR / ITT [TV]

• The appliance carries out steps of operation without being programmed to eg. it switches off, changes programme, the sound level changes etc. (5530PS tips)

• TV cuts out intermittently after an indefinite time. PSU loaded. EHT starts, stops then starts again for 10 secs then TV ok. Solder joints ok. Display goes off at the same time as the problem. (with circuit diagram extract)
• Starts intermittently. Standby LED flashes when trying to start. Rattles or chirps.
• Tripping.
• When the operating temperature is reached the PSU switches off after various periods of time. Before this a deviation from the mains frequency may be heard (chirping), which often distorts the line drive transistor. (picture attached) (5530PS ITT repair tip)

• Initially picture OK but snow after a while.
• Shuts down (intermittently).
• Screen in AV mode and "00" on display.
