F11 / LENCO [TV (chassis)]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for F11 / LENCO.

List of fault symptoms:
  • No TXT.
  • Poor picture. Looks like leaky tube.
  • Smeary, unfocused picture or lacks in one or more colour.
  • Goes to standby, unless on/off held.
  • Brightness varies. intermittently.
  • Start attempt, loud periodic noise. Does not build up.
  • Line tearing.
  • Line tear, disappears after few mins. Dot pattern on weak signal.
  • Chopper transformer buzzes at bright picture content, picture becomes wider at the same time.
  • Blue tint.
  • Clicking on audio and lines on picture intermittently.
  • Organ-pipe effect on left-hand side.
  • No start-up.
  • Line output transistor S2055AF blown.
  • No power.
  • Intermittently dead.
  • No start-up. intermittently.
  • Switches to standby. intermittently.
  • Black lines across picture. Appears as line off frequency. (LENCO - F11 information)
  • E/W fault. (LENCO - F11 information)
  • Picture has a green cast.
  • Picture compressed on top and at the bottom, only half picture is available. (F11 tips)
  • No audio. No picture. (LENCO - F11 information)
  • Excessive horizontal size. E/W fault.
  • No RC functions. No front panel function.
  • Line tearing. intermittently.
  • PSU switches off immediately.
  • Dead. Red standby fades and pulses. (F11 tips)
  • Blank raster. intermittently.
  • No functions.
  • Powers down when standby selected, goes dead when switched back on.
  • Goes dead for a few minutes every couple of days then comes back on in standby.
  • Poor RC sensitivity.
  • Flyback lines in upper third of picture.
  • Line output transistor fails intermittently or at switch on.
  • Erratic start-up. Switches off by itself. after start-up.
  • Knock sensitive.
  • Dark picture.
  • Rope effect 3ins from left hand side.
  • Frame bounce, sometimes spinning. No colour. Narrow black bar moving down screen.
  • No vertical deflection. Horizontal line. in the centre.
  • Dead, slight tripping noise then stopped.
  • Stuck in standby. (F11 tips)
  • Dead.
  • Strong green stripes in picture and wavers by strong brightness.
  • Flyback lines.
  • At switch on PSU can be heard to pop from loudspeakers, then PSU powers down after few secs.
  • E/W chip burnt.
  • Picture has a red cast.
  • Corrugated verticals and white dots on screen.
  • Shuts down. intermittently. (F11 LENCO repair tip)
  • Picture dark or bright with flyback lines when turning up SG voltage.
  • IC (TDA3654) defective.
  • Mute inactive. Volume control OK via scart.
  • Goes to standby. No standby LED. OK if switched on at mains on front panel.
  • Dead, smoke coming from main panel.
  • Intermittently picture with a dark side.
  • No start-up. when cold.
  • Dead. Standby LED lit .
  • Dead. Smoke.
  • Trips. when cold.
  • No function. Smell of burning, arcing sound.
  • No red. No green.
  • After approx. 30 mins appliance cuts completely out. Shock sensitive.
  • PSU starts up, standby LED switches off.
  • Switches to standby. after start-up.
