VCR715 / LEYCO [Video recorder - VHS HiFi]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for VCR715 / LEYCO.

List of fault symptoms:
  • No start up, no function. Accepts cassette normally.
  • Disturbed display. Intermittently switches to REC by itself instead of switching to channel. (LEYCO - VCR715 information)
  • No display. All functions are ok. (LEYCO - VCR715 information)
  • Does not accept tape.
  • Cassette jammed inside. No EJECT.
  • No display. All functions OK.
  • No 12V or 16V in PSU.
  • Distorted audio in REC, in PB sound OK.
  • TV displays F3 at the top of the screen.
  • VCR in standby, impossible to start up with the standby button. IC651 regulator 7805 is invalid.
  • Occasionally will not carry out any function. (LEYCO - VCR715 information)
  • No Rew or FF.
  • With a prerecorded cassette the sound is lower than normal, but in record it is ok.
  • TV screen becomes dark with white lines and loud noise in the sound as soon as aerial plug is connected to the VCR. (VCR715 tip from LEYCO)
  • Ejects the cassette.
  • Accepts cassette then re-ejects it immediately. Initially only happens occasionally.
