LT7001 IE4000 / LIFETEC [TV]
The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers
supplies the following faults for LT7001 / LIFETEC.
List of fault symptoms:
- Poor start up via RC after mains disconnection.
- Starts, red LED becomes darker for operation and then can not be operated.
- Reduced vertical and horizontal size.
- Streaking and striations in the picture, only with certain picture content. (service info for LIFETEC -LT7001)
- Comes on for a short time.
- Vertical white bars in the picture at AV inputs (position varies). Fault present when AV appliance is switched on.
- Line output stage transistor and R5369 are defective.
- Hiccups. Picture size is knock sensitive.
- Switches off by itself. LED lit. .
- Squealing noise.
- Protection icon (3 blinking patterns) on screen.
- Switches to standby (intermittently).
- Switches after approx. 20-30 min running time to standby, can be switched on again. Switch-off times shortens when appliance has been operated for longer.
- No start-up. Standby LED lit . (service info for LIFETEC -LT7001)
- Dead. Standby LED flashes .
- Picture foldover at top. White lines in upper third of picture.
- Switches to standby after an some time and LED flashes 3 times rhythmically. After switching power switch off and on again, appliance plays properly for an indeterminate time.
- Rainbow colours in picture. (LT7001 tips)
- Driver transistor is defective.
- Colours on faces and in the background change on some channels.
- Distortion in lower picture area depending on beam current.
- Green picture. (service info for LIFETEC -LT7001)
- No 33V tuning voltage.
- Intermittently only bright disc, blurred during TXT or menu display, knocksensitive.
- Brightness changes when switching from 4:3 and 14:9 format, picture becomes darker.
- Vertical fault.
- No audio from the subwoofer.
- CRT is fully turned up. Switches off immediately.
- Picture is only the size of a post card.
- Dark picture and unstable brightness/colour. Intermittently error occurs after a long operation while.
- Flyback lines (intermittently).
- PSU ticks.
- Changes channels upward continuously.
- E/W fault, then completely off.
- Switches on, LED becomes darker, switches to standby.
- Distorted audio. No channels. Shuts down (intermittently).

- No function, no LED. Smokes.
- Only rainbow colours.
- No start-up (when cold).
- No proper geometry adjustment for 16:9 screen.
- E/W fault. Excessive horizontal size.
- No start-up. No LED lit.
- No picture. on upper half screen.
- Poor RC sensitivity.
- Poor start up, switches off and starts again immediately.
- Reduced horizontal size.
- No TXT.
- Picture and sound ok after switch on. RC does not react after 60 sec. and switches to standby, LED flashes 3x, no new start possible via RC.
- Vertical lines.
- Beeping when cold.
- Horizontal bright line in upper area, picture is lightly streaky.
- E/W fault, picture is too big.
- Picture width changes during brightness so that there are severe indentations in a 4:3 picture. Picture is distorted at the crossover points in a grid pattern.
- Horizontal size varies.
- E/W fault. Both sides have black indentation.
- No vertical deflection.
- Vertical deflection is intermittently instable or total failure. Fault only occurs after hours or days.
- No degaussing.
- LED flashes.
- Vertical line.
- Switches on and "service sign" appears after approx. 30 secs. Switches off and LED blinks 3 times.
- Picture too big. No E/W correction.
- T504 is S/C, R538 is O/C.
- No horizontal deflection. Vertical line.
- Reduced horizontal and vertical deflection. (LT7001 tip from LIFETEC)
- Picture shifted vertically.
- Loud noise near the line transformer after switch on, then switches off.
- No functions. (LT7001 tip from LIFETEC)
- Picture too large (vertical and horizontal), blurred and streaky.
- Starts up with high current comsumption, builds up HV birefly and then switches off.
- No RC functions. Other functions OK .
- Stations drop out during operation. Intermittently strong moire effect and sound crackling. Intermittently stores channels only up to C06 after search.
- S/C in power supply unit.
- Strong noise from PSU, depending on load.
- Picture appears when switched on from mains switch, instead of going to standby.
- Starts up after replacing the defective horizontal transistor T504 (2SC5858). HV is built up and a spanner appears on screen, and horizontal transistor fails again immediately.
- Hiss in audio. intermittently. (service info for LIFETEC -LT7001)
- Horizontal line.
- No function and the typical tick of a line fault can be heard. Red LED pumps at the rhythm of the chirp.
- No audio from subwoofer intermittently.
- Picture fails intermittently. Sound ok when cold.
- Dead.
- Noise in audio. via speakers.
- Only sound, then flashes 3 times.
- Stuck in standby. (service info for LIFETEC -LT7001)
- Picture shifted to the right.
- Picture is too small and moves every now and then (irregularly).
- No picture. No audio.
- Dead. Standby LED does not light.
- Line output stage starts up briefly, high power consumption (approx. 1A), switches immditately off and standby LED lights up.
- E/W fault.
- Picture too big. E/W fault. No adjustment possible . (LT7001 tip from LIFETEC)
- How to set up appliance that it switches on immediately during mains switch on, no switch on via RC from standby.
- Starts up briefly with a picture. Switches after approx. 5 sec in standby.
- No start-up from standby.
- Defective standby PSU due to overvoltage.
- Vertical deflection IC501 fails.
- Line output stage transistor is defective. May run ok for a few seconds before transistor is destroyed again. Picture is then dented/ folded over.
- Picture white, switches off after 10 secs.
- Bright picture.
- Horizontal bright lines in the picture.
- Horizontal lines.
- Horizontal tearing. at bottom (after a few minutes).
- Burnt deflection plug, line transistor is S/C.
- PSU ticking.
- Very high power consumption at switch on, then line output stage T509 (2SC5331) is defective.
- Line output transistor gets defective again, right after switch on.
- Audio fades and returns frequently via SCART.
- HV builds up briefly, high power consumption, then appliance switches off.
- Dark picture.
- Reduced picture with strong E/W indentation.
- Enter service mode.
- E/W is defective. Intermittently no picture.
- Line output transistor S/C.
- No RC functions.
- Appliance switches on from standby only after repeated switch off/on via power switch.
- Colour appears only after approx. 90 sec. and appliance beeps during this time.
- Bright picture. Switches off by itself.
- Dead. Standby LED lit .
- Intermittently switches off by itself and switches on again. Black horizontal lines can be seen before that, which become wider downwards. (LT7001 tips)
- Blurred picture after operation while, then picture drops out and reappears automatically or knock sensitive. Sound OK.
- Loud noise.
- Picture consists of 2cm x 2cm coloured diamonds via AV2 socket.
