1160 / MAXIM [TV 16:9 from 82 (76)cm picture]

supplies the following faults for 1160 / MAXIM.
List of fault symptoms:
- E/W fault.
- Reduced vertical and horizontal size.
- Blows TD02 (BUH515D) at start-up.
- No TXT.
- Shuts down. after a while. LED is red .
- Only a blinking vertical strip in the centre.
- No line drive. intermittently.
- Picture is compressed and bright line in the middle of the picture.
- Coloured spots on the screen.
- Horizontal collapse. E/W fault.
- No vertical deflection on the upper half of screen. Bright line in the middle.
- Ticks, standby display blinks.
- No OSD. No TXT.
- Enter service mode.
- E/W changes by itself depending on picture content.
- Distorted picture.
- Blank raster.
- No audio. No sound option in main menu.
- Changes channels intermittently.
- Pulse switching can be heard at switch on.
- Horizontal output stage drive fails.
- All stations are just a bit mistuned, sometimes no sound on some channels.
- No channel store. Picture size varies.
- No power.
- Disable child lock.
- Unable to enter tuning mode.
- Thin horizontal black lines on upper half picture. Poor horizontal linearity. (1160 MAXIM repair tip)
- Purity spot in TXT after a while.
- No picture. Audio OK .
- Picture jitters.
- No picture. intermittently.
- Picture jitters vertically on the picture edges.
- Switches off occasionally or no switch-on. Remains in standby.
- Vertical jitter.
- Tripping.
- Vertical foldover. at top.
- Picture flicker for a few seconds when it comes up then appliance goes into standby.
- No start-up.
- Pincushion distortion. E/W fault.
- Poor focus. Arcing across focus spark gap on CRT base PCB.
- No picture.
- Incorrect horizontal size.
- Black bar. at top.
- Dead.
- No picture, audio OK, TXT OK, TXT mixed with picture OK.
- Picture and sound drop out for a short time, then program display and stereo OSD appear.
- No functions.
- Picture vertically serrated.
- No line drive at start-up. Line drive starts after a while and picture appears with reduced vertical size.
- No start-up. Standby LED lit .
- Chirps.
- Concaved picture.
