MM01 / MEISTER [TV]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for MM01 / MEISTER.

List of fault symptoms:
  • No synchronisation. (MM01 tip from MEISTER)
  • Basic features.
  • Does not switch to standby.
  • White spots on some channels, flecks in picture.
  • Horizontal stage does not start.
  • No start-up from standby.
  • Loud whistling from loudspeakers. Wavy picture and picture runs through. No sync via scart.
  • No operation.
  • Snow in picture. only on certain channels.
  • Disable hotel mode.
  • No channel search, when opening the menu, it's blocked on the sleep-timer, and cannot be adjusted the p-/p+ buttons.
  • No start-up. (MM01 tip from MEISTER)
  • Stuck in standby.
  • Line output transistor heats up abnormally.
  • Switches to standby. after warm-up.
  • Picture becomes slowly brighter until flyback lines appear.
  • No picture via SCART. Tuner operation OK. Videotext and other on-screen display OK.
  • Snow on Band I and II.
  • No synchronisation (after a few minutes).
  • Enable Hotel mode.
  • Switches off by itself. after a few minutes.
  • Disable child lock.
  • No horizontal synchronisation.
  • Enable child lock.
  • No reception. No picture in AV mode.
  • No picture. Screen is lit as if TV was in AV. At scart input there is a semblance of out of sync picture, while at output picture is clear with a fault (like a hum).
  • Picture jitters. at high volume. (MM01 tips)
  • No horizontal synchronisation (after a few minutes).
  • Dead.
  • Restore factory settings.
  • No horizontal deflection.
  • Blurry picture.
  • Low brightness. Low contrast.
  • No reception above channel 40. (service info for MEISTER -MM01)
  • Coloured lines. (MM01 tips)
  • No tuning. Dark picture. No horizontal synchronisation.
  • Switches to standby. intermittently.
  • Vertical collapse. (MM01 tip from MEISTER)
  • Enter service mode.
  • No switch on from standby. LED is briefly darker. (MM01 tips)
  • Reduced vertical deflection.
  • Does not switch off from standby, LED alternately flashes dark then light.
  • Flickering picture.

With help of this list a solution is found often when MEISTER MM01 fails.
