MTS74U1 / MELECTRONIC [TV (Standard)]

supplies the following faults for MTS74U1 / MELECTRONIC.
List of fault symptoms:
- Dark picture. Audio OK .
- LED blinks twice and then switches off.
- Line tearing.

- No functions.
- Stripes at upper picture edge. Half picture is missing. Picture folds down on top or at the bottom.

- Vertical approx. 3-5cm wide stripe in the centre.
- Supply voltage and protective circuit adjustment.
- Standby OK, switches on, but then switches off before picture appears.
- Focus adjustment.
- Vertical lines are initially distorted in RF and Scart. Ok when warm.
- Horizontal BU transistor is defective.
- Functions normally. Only input E2 remains in S-VHS position, even if switched to video in the relevant menu.
- Reduced horizontal size.
- How to switch to service mode when the appliance switches to standby after mains switch-on.
- No picture, no audio. Standby ok. LED switches from red to green at start up with RC,
- Line pairing occurs in upper picture section at strong contrast or according to picture content. At TXT picture OK.
- Transistor TK3 (BU2525AF) fails immediately after replacement.
- Excessive brightness. Flyback lines.

- Sound fails, bass speaker remains active.
- Horizontal linearity adjustment.
- Brightness varies. Flyback lines.
- No vertical deflection.

- Vertical lines in the picture oscillate until there is a double outline. Fault is worse in bright picture content than in dark picture content.
- Wide black bars un upper screen edge.
- Crackling noise from subwoofer speaker when warm.
- Line socket failure every other two weeks.

- Vertical output stage becomes repeatedly defective after few months.
- Reinitialise EEprom.
- Does not start up. Geometry and Feature Box adjustments are wrong.
- Half a picture.

- LK1 (6.8R/0.5W) in horizontal deflection becomes hot and makes smoke.

- Resistor RK49 near horizontal line output transformer has blown.
- No start-up from standby. Fault occurs intermittently. .
- Test lines in top of picture.
- Horizontal stripe.
- Bright picture. Flyback lines. after start-up. Shuts down.
- Reverts to standby at first start-up. All OK after the second or third start-up.
- Linearity is folded over 2cm at the top
- No vertical deflection. Stripe in the centre, which becomes dark after approx. 2 secs.
- Picture flickers after some time and becomes dark.
- No picture. Stripes or bars in upper part picture.
- No HV (at start-up).
- Deflection fault.
- Linearity fault in upper picture section.
- No picture. after start-up (only snow).
- APS runs.
- Picture too small. at bottom. Retrace lines.
- No functions. Periodically slight clicking sound from PSU.
- Vertical fault, black bars on upper picture edge.

- Model release/pricing information.
- Horizontal transistor (BU2525AF) immediately defective at start up.
- Vertical collapse.
