CTV1486 / NIKKAI [TV 36/37 (34-36) cm picture]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for CTV1486 / NIKKAI.

List of fault symptoms:
  • Signal is intermittent.
  • Blanking problems.
  • Striations and flyback lines.
  • Field collapse, no sound.
  • Unstable picture, line hold control has no effect.

  • Convergence adjustment.
  • Tuning drifts (intermittently).

  • Set does not start up.
  • Incorrect frame linearity.

  • Picture has moved to one side.
  • EHT missing, line timebase ok.
  • Dead. PSU pulses.
  • Vertical collapse.
  • VIF alignment.
  • There was a snowy raster but no sound or channel indicator illumination.
  • Channels cannot be tuned in or stored.
  • Occasionally appliance switches off.
  • Frame oscillator does not function.
  • Intermittent frame bounce.
  • Focus adjustment.
  • When volume increased row of dots indicate volume still at minimum.
  • Width is reduced and picture is faint.
  • Switched mode power supply trips when warm.

  • Reduced horizontal size.
  • Ballooning effect.
  • Tripping (intermittently).
  • Trips.
  • Intermittent manual channel change.

  • Field sync fault.
  • Intermittent loss of signals and randomly unhappy about channel three selection.
  • Raster is blank with flyback lines.

  • Inadequate colour identification.
  • LEDs not lit or only partially lit.
  • Ghosting effect.
  • Vertical size adjustment.
  • Line oscillator does not function.
  • Blank raster but sound and on screen display ok.
