  • TP29 fails after switch on.
  • RL27 burnt.

  • No OSD display. Sound cuts out at channel switch-over. Sound OK at start up. When channels are changed using TV front control keys, channels roll over even when key released.
  • Occasionally small horizontal black line at the top of the screen and line transformer whistles slightly.
  • Siren noise in speaker.
  • No colour from aerial or scart. IC TA8559CN has been replaced. Wave peaks at MP output are correct.
  • Dark screen. Stretched vertical lines.
  • Only snow. Appliance can be controlled with RC.
  • Excessive green.
  • US voltage is 57V. If you unplug pin 3 from the line stage transformer the voltage returns to 113V. Line stage transformer has been changed.
  • Vertical lines shake. In top third of the screen picture tearing is greater.
  • Only a palm high picture at bottom of screen.
  • Appliance switches off and switches on again, changes channel and there are great variations in the beam current.
  • Vertical deflection has collapsed to a bright line in the middle of the screen.
  • After a short time the US voltage increases so that the TV cuts out.
  • Black screen. Channel 0 display on video.
  • Standby light on, no start up of power supply.
  • Ticking, then PSU switches off.
  • No colour (when switching).
  • TV only starts up very rarely, when it does start up, RL26 smokes, the deflectors heat up and smoke, distorted picture and the colours fade.
