VR3741MS / OCEANIC [Video recorder - VHS HiFi]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for VR3741MS / OCEANIC.

List of fault symptoms:
  • It is not possible to erase.
  • The holder for the loading motor is not available (N.S.P).
  • In standby displays time correctly, at the output of standby display flashes. 12V SWD comes and goes to the rhythm of the display.
  • Distorted sound in Play.
  • No PB. No FF and REW.
  • After cassette has laced up in PB, everything is normal for 20 secs then sound cuts out and picture deteriorates. VCR goes to stop and no function except eject.
  • No display on the voltage band on bridge =34V on the STK voltages of 34V, 12V and 6V.
  • Retracts cassette and ejects it immediately.
  • Stop key (or other key) on the right side of user control doesn't function. (VR3741MS tips)
  • Drum speed is frantic. (VR3741MS tip from OCEANIC)
  • No function after tape thread in.
  • Sound but no picture in playback. Voltages on IC151 in PB: 1: 7.88, 2: 0. 3: 2.45, 5: 0. 6: 3.7B, 7: 12.03, 8: 3.12, 9: 3.17.
