supplies the following faults for 705312 / OTTOVERSAND.
List of fault symptoms:
- Sound cracks on start-up.
- Reduced horizontal size. E/W fault.

- It takes some minutes for picture to appear. Low sound when picture appears.
- Weak and noisy sound through SCART and aerial. Occasionally sound returns OK.

- Distorted audio. Audio distortion, particularly on line input.

- If dry joint or chopper short circuit.
- Nicam fault.

- Sync problem. Vertical sync may be disturbed when a bright picture is connected to the front Y/C input.
- When the channel signal disappears, the AFT will search for the next signal. This new frequency will then be stored in memory.
- Black screen. intermittently.
- Tuning drifts (intermittently).
- Service information. When stocks of 21", 25" and 29" crt's are exhausted, they will be replaced by an itc, comprising CRT + scan yoke.
- Intermittent tuning memory problem. Tuning jumps to adjacent channel if the set is turned on when there is no carrier on that channel.
- Low audio. Distorted audio. OK after a while .
- There is a mono/stereo identifiation problem when receiving a stereo transmission (PAL B/G).
- No functions.
- Vertical foldover.
- No signals, no raster and the digital channel display fading or pulsating.
- Black screen (intermittently). Audio OK .
- Intermittent crackle on NICAM plus loss of picture.
- Sound is lost from cold; returning with distortion after ten mins.
- Fuse PS201 O/C.
- RC unit.
- Poor sound. Sound ok after changing amplifier and the two JC501 but occasionally it drifts even in scart.
- Approx. 5cm wide yellow vertical line in picture.
- Picture ok for 5 mins, then in black and white.
- G2 resistor, R807 (1K/1W), is O/C.
- Tuning drifts. Searches for channels continuously.
- Linearity in the lower portion of the picture is incorrect.
- Poor linearity or geometry. Frame linearity fault. Usually only occurs in sets which are more than two years old.
- Smearing in picture. intermittently.
- No vertical synchronisation (intermittently).
- No RC function. No sound. Picture size varies according to brightness but improves as appliance warms up.
- Sound takes more than a minute to arrive.
- Field cramped.
- Picture appears only after 5 mins. No OSD. Sound OK.
- Low width with picture showing third of screen.
- Disturbed reception, intermittent snow.
- Does not turn on. LEDs flash.
- Purity fault on both sides.
- The STEREO indicator intermittently switches on in mono channels. This is accompanied with rattle/noise from one channel.
- Switches off after 15 to 30 mins but after a stop of 5 to 10 mins then restarts.
- Low sound when volume is adjusted to maximum.
- Switches over automatically to program "00".
- When the channel signal is lost, the AFT searches for the next available signal. This new frequency is then stored in the memory.
- Reduced vertical size.

- Intermittent colour.
- Distorted audio.

- Incorrect vertical linearity. Top third of picture is compressed and bottom part has foldover.
- Linearity at the top of the picture is poor.

- Sound is poor and nasal. Volume varies. Occasionally no sound.
- Weak audio. when cold.
- Picture runs through by bright picture content.
- Colour impure. PTC OK.
- Picture appears slowly. Volume varies.

- Contrast too low in certain modes. A dark picture is displayed in the rgb mode.

- The screen is very dark or black.
- Cramped at top, foldover at bottom.
