TXC84 / OTTOVERSAND [TV]

  • Switches off. No control possible. Program display OK.

  • Poor sync and colour. Picture becomes better after a while but with horizontal coloured bars. Hum in audio.

  • Distorted picture and poor synchronization via SCART. No colour via tuner.

  • Tuning is slightly off. Dark screen with zigzag lines. Intermittent flashes of chroma and sound mutes.

  • Appliance blocks occasionally, all basic values are set to minimum, all additional displays (stereo, three-dimensional sound etc.) light up. If the main switch is switched off then on again then everything is ok.

  • Elusive Parts.

  • Switches to standby.

  • After approx 1 hour the picture becomes approx 3cm too small at the right edge.
  • How to check main PSU.
  • After about half an hour's use and when a different channel is selected, the channel information derived from the text flashes unlocked across the screen. There is also loss of teletext synchronisation. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • When warm picture shift to the right then line oscillation is defective.
