APOLLO / PACE [Sat receiver (analogue)]
The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers
supplies the following faults for APOLLO / PACE.
List of fault symptoms:
- No audio.
- No picture. (APOLLO tip from PACE)
- "LNB Short" message on screen.
- Torn sideways on parts of picture and poor contrast unless set to 7 or 8 in installation menu.
- Unstable picture, no decoder messages.
- Horizontal pattern intermittently on RF picture.
- Intermittent white line on all decoded channels, approx one third in from left hand side. Unencrypted ones OK.
- "Card Invalid" message appears.
- To switch off blue screen. (APOLLO tips)
- Low sound through modulator.
- No LNB supply.
- 6 columns of blocks overlayed on all channels; some incorrect spellings of channel names and menus. (APOLLO tip from PACE)
- Rolling pictures. No decoder messages.
- No display.
- No sound, only buzzing.
- No response to buttons. When switched on, green LED comes on briefly then red LED remains on.
- No decoder messages.
- Blue picture. No signal.
- No signal, picture OK via scart connector.
- Decoder fails when warm.
- Horizontal streaks across screen on all channels.
- Dead.
- Low gain E-E. No UHF satellite pictures.
- Restore factory settings.
- Blown fuse. (service info for PACE -APOLLO)
- Audio muted; no signal on blue background. When blue background turned off, audio OK.
