MRD950 / PACE [Sat /TV reception module]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for MRD950 / PACE.

List of fault symptoms:
  • Constant failure of Q1 and maybe R1 and/or R8.
  • MAC sound takes long time to come on, picture OK.
  • When used through UHF modulator and mono Panda audio mode 2-9 is selected, a fine herringbone pattern is visible.
  • To unlock parental lock without PIN.
  • Purple colour instead black at top and bottom of picture.
  • Failure of C99.
  • Getting into SERVICE mode.
  • Streaky decoded pictures. Menu floats across screen.
  • Dead.
  • Lines on picture in horizontal stations. Picture OK on vertical stations.
  • Moving vertical bar goes across the screen from right to left and horizontal stripes can be seen on the picture from decoded channels.
  • No functions.
  • Will not decode MAC, only noise. May be intermittent. (MRD950 tip from PACE)
  • "No access" message on screen in some channels.
  • No signal.
  • Squealing from PSU.
  • No decoding, losing sync on D2 MAC channels.
  • "No access" message on picture in some channels.
  • Poor picture.
  • Restore factory settings.
  • No subtitles, faulty menu.
  • Sound output on Mono 1 audio mode is poor.
  • Faulty text on film net and poor sound on D-MAC.
  • MAC sound takes long time to come on, or intermittently.
