SR3500 / PACE [Sat /TV reception module]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for SR3500 / PACE.

List of fault symptoms:
  • Bold lines in the picture which looks as if line frequency has been wrongly adjusted.
  • Channels cannot be switched over.
  • Sound only in Stereo mode.
  • No picture, On LED lights up.
  • No screen OSD, picture is normally present. (SR3500 PACE repair tip)
  • Dead. Appliance remains in standby position (LED flashes).
  • General reset.
  • Increase of switching voltage.
  • Appliance cannot be switched on. Standby LED lights up continually.
  • Intermittently whistling at start-up. Horizontal lines in picture when cold. Intermittently no V-level change-over.
  • No response to remote control signals.
  • No horizontal level.
  • 6.5MHz audio carrier fails.
  • Appliance hums.
  • Modification SS6001 to 14/18V switch over.
  • Cuts out when hot.
  • Installation instructions TE-4.
  • No function, all LEDs light on SAT tuner front side. Selection via RC ok.
  • No picture, screen is black.
  • No picture or sound in SAT reception.
  • Demodulator functions for a fortnight to a month then loses stations. Necessary to reprogramme and so on. (SR3500 tips)
  • No start-up.
  • Dead.
  • Will not switch to vertical polarity. (SR3500 tips)
  • No functions, all LEDs flash. (SR3500 tip from PACE)
  • Very distorted picture.
  • No audio.
  • No function or the receiver loses the station memory.
  • Spurious accompanying sound, e.g. EUROSPORT.
  • Impossible to switch on or channels run through. On LED does not light up while RC is being used.
  • New programming.
  • No test signal on TV set (only visible via aerial cable).
  • Receiver cannot be adjusted.
  • No or faulty graphics.
  • Functions for approx 1 hour and then switches automatically off and then on again.
  • Will not switch to horizontal polarity.
  • Noise in picture.
  • Noisy transformer.
  • SAT receiver cannot be adjusted.
  • Stand by is defective.
  • BUT11 in PSU blows.
  • Horizontal stripes in picture on all channels and on both polarisation levels.
  • Intermittent LNB voltage.
  • No picture.
  • No LNC supply.
  • Impossible to store frequencies although frequency adjustment ok. (SR3500 tip from PACE)
  • Venetian blind effect. Poor picture with horizontal lines.
  • No sound. Sound is present only on channels TELECOM B, TELECOM A, MCM and Canal Plus.
  • Horizontal stripes in picture.
  • Poor picture, excessive spikes in the picture.
  • No polarizer switch over possible.
  • Stuck in standby.
  • Venetian blind effect at start up.
  • No sound or picture in SAT reception.
  • Dark picture, without content. No sound.

With help of this list a solution is found often when PACE SR3500 fails.
