PM17P64 / PEACOCK [17" monitors]

List of fault symptoms:
  • HV starts up briefly, then the monitor switches off.
  • Transistors Q311, Q312 and Q313 work for about an hour and then fail again.
  • Excessive width. OSD controls not pulling in picture.

  • Inadequate picture and bleedover when contrast increased.

  • Spot killer faulty.
  • B+ adjustment.
  • Horizontal linearity fault.
  • No horizontal size control.
  • Clicking noises.
  • Picture breaks irregularly in the line.
  • No power up. High voltage tries to come up and surges. Amber light flashes.

  • E/W defective, picture present.
  • Picture becomes too bright.

  • Horizontal overlapping picture out of frequency.
  • Horizontal phase shift - no control.

  • E/W cannot be adjusted.
  • Brightness slows down after warming up.
  • Smoke from power supply.
  • Dead. Amber LED steady (powers up with LED disconnected).
  • High voltage abnormal.
  • One colour missing. No fault can be measured on the RGB board.
  • Picture disappears after longer operation time. LED becomes yellow.
  • Horizontal centre adjustment.
  • PSU switches off immediately.
  • No picture. LED is yellow like standby. Horizontal- and vertical deflection are present.
  • Shuts down.
  • No brightness control.
  • Resolutions and picture repeat frequency.
  • Wavy picture.

  • E/W fault. Sometimes a 3cm wide dark stripe wanders from the left to the right.
  • No start-up.
  • No output.
  • H-size pre-setting.
  • After switch on picture appears for a short time, lines foldover, picture disappears.

  • Horizontal output transistor Q311 shorted repeatedly.
  • No raster.
  • Partial line collapse.
  • No vertical size control.
  • No horizontal deflection.

  • Horizontal shift.

  • Inadequate colour. Green drive CTL inoperative.
  • Pincushion distortion.

  • E/W-fault: Q321 has S/C after some time.
  • No red.
  • Poor focus.
  • Change mode failure.
  • No picture, no OSD and white raster.
  • Monitor does not start up. PSU chirps.
  • Q311 shorted.

  • Picture quivers in width to 2cm.
  • No green.
