VCR905 / PILOT [Video recorder]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for VCR905 / PILOT.

List of fault symptoms:
  • No REW after warm up.
  • Shuts off in PLAY, REW, FF after 10-15 seconds. Check to see if the counter is counting in all function speeds.
  • Shuts down in PB, FF, and REW after 10-15 sec. Counter doesn't count in all function speeds.
  • Doesn't rewind, play, or fast forward.
  • Does not accept tape.
  • Tape speed doesn't lock in. Snow pulsates in picture. Tracking inoperative.
  • Shuts down after 4 sec. (VCR905 tips)
  • Shutdown in PB, REW, or FF.
  • 1 KHz tone in audio on playback.
  • Stops during PB or FF. No counter.
  • Picture tears in CUE, REVIEW, or PAUSE.
  • No speed control (run away on play).
  • Shuts off in 10-15 secs on PB, REW or FF.
  • Stops in PB and FF. No counter.
