CTV7050 / PROFEX [TV]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for CTV7050 / PROFEX.

List of fault symptoms:
  • Distorted picture. at top.
  • Standby LED flashes shortly after start-up, then slight chirping noise from PSU and dead.

  • Comes on for a short time.
  • No RC functions.
  • Line output transistor fails repeatedly.
  • H end stage transistor fails at irregular distances without recognisable cause.

  • No HV.
  • Mains fuse blown.
  • Line tearing. after warm-up.
  • Reduced horizontal size. on the right.
  • Videotext jitters.
  • No start-up. LED blinks .
  • Smoke from CRT board.
  • E/W fault.
  • No picture. No audio.
  • Goes deat with a bang.
  • Pincushion distortion.
  • Appliance does not switch over. Only AV2 is operating. Picture and sound are OK.
  • Line output transistor S2055 S/C.
  • One colour missing.
  • Three coloured lines in the half of the picture.
  • TXT appears instead of TV picture after switch on.
  • Weak vertical stripe in picture.
  • OSD jitters. Picture is OK. Vertical shifted.
  • Bright picture.
  • Dead.
  • T309 (BC618) defective.
  • Flyback transformer and line output stage is defective.
  • Vertical foldover at bottom.
  • Excessive horizontal size. E/W fault.
  • Black bar. at top and bottom.
  • Dead. LED blinks .
  • Picture flashed red, then no picture. Sound OK.
  • Line tearing after approx. 5-10 min. Multiple pictures.
  • White screen. Flyback lines. Shuts down. after a few seconds. (PROFEX - CTV7050 information)
  • No picture. Picture fragments are visible for a short time, then bright screen.
  • Green flyback lines. (PROFEX - CTV7050 information)
  • Switches to protection mode. after a few seconds.
  • R325 reeks.
  • At 4:3 PB picture collapses to 16:9 format. (CTV7050 PROFEX repair tip)
  • Humming noise from transformer. when cold. (CTV7050 tip from PROFEX)
  • Stretched picture. Picture size varies with picture content.
  • Vertical collapse.
  • Switches off. Standby LED flashes and starts automatically with program site 1.
  • After locating a page, the upper line appears, the rest remains dark but after approx 3 mins. text is complete.
  • Vertical bright stripe in picture, visible especially on dark pictures.
  • Distorted picture. No TXT.
  • Line output transistor arching.
  • The appliance is dead, BU426 nad BU500 are short circuit, TDA4600 U/S-22nF is leaky.
  • No HV. after a while.
  • Reduced vertical size at bottom. when cold.
  • Tripping.
  • Start-up with green picture, red and blue colours are weak, audio OK.
  • No line drive.
  • No start-up. PSU pulsates.
  • Deflection transformer fails.
  • Flyback lines. at top.
  • Disable child lock.

  • Picture size is horizontally reduced with 6-8cm. Picture geometry OK.
  • No functions. LED blinks briefly after switch on, then goes off.
  • Green LED blinks at switch on Prog. +/-. Power supply pulsates.
  • Picture without content with rainbow colours.
  • No picture content, menu too pale , maybe E/W distortion.
  • Dead. PSU beeps.
  • No E/W correction.
  • No picture.
  • Three coloured stripes on upper picture edge.
  • Very loud buzzing from scan coils. Picture OK. Buzzing noise disappears after a while.
  • No picture. Retrace lines.
  • Reduced horizontal size.
  • No functions. (CTV7050 tips)
  • Switches to standby. after a few seconds.
  • Switches to standby.
  • Horizontal stripe.
  • Vertical deflection only approx. 10cm, apart on the top.
  • Enter service mode.
  • Field collapse. Intermittently horizontal line appears with three colours flickering.
  • No red.
  • Appliance snaps.
  • Vertical lines.
  • No OSD. No TXT.
  • No function, LED does not light.
  • Dark screen. Audio OK .
  • No HV. Audio OK .
  • No HV. after start-up. Audio OK .
  • Picture shakes. at bottom (after warm-up). (service info for PROFEX -CTV7050)
  • Horizontal stripe. via SCART.
  • Shuts down. (CTV7050 tip from PROFEX)
  • No vertical deflection, only diffuse brightness and flyback lines.
  • PSU switches on, HV builds up, then switches off.
  • SMD diode D302 defective.
  • Line driver transistor Q302 is destroyed after seconds
  • Line output transformer arcing.
  • Vertical collapse. after a while.
  • Vertical IC fails.
  • Stuck in BG standard.
  • No start-up from standby.
  • Picture splutters when changing channels after some operating time.
  • Text lines at top of scan.
  • No picture. on upper half screen.
  • No sound via scart or noise or sound of a terrestrial channel.
