2114T / RANKXEROX [TV 51 (47/48) cm picture]

  • The programme can only be changed once, afterwards no channel selection is possible.
  • Tunes lower channels only but extremely unstable and occasionally disappears.
  • Set displays CH. But unable to reprogram memory chip.
  • Vertical striations from left hand side of screen, reducing in width toward centre. (service info for RANKXEROX -2114T)
  • Dead.
  • White screen. Flyback lines.
  • Set displays CH when switched on.
  • Stuck in standby. Squealing from PSU.
  • Convergence adjustment.
  • Bright raster. Flyback lines.
  • Buzzing from PSU.
  • No picture.
  • Blank raster. Audio OK .
  • Dark picture. High voltage is present. When turning the screen regulator the picture appears and is even maintained during rewind. After switching off and on the picture is dark once more.
  • Intermittently dead.
  • Line pulses missing at line output stage. (service info for RANKXEROX -2114T)
  • Stuck in standby.
  • Bright raster. No audio. intermittently.
  • PSU starts to oscillate "roughly" at switch on.
  • AGC problems.
  • When the appliance is switched on the picture is red then returns to normal after a few minutes. This is then repeated intermittently.
  • White balance adjustment.
  • Reduced horizontal size.
  • Chopper transistor Q801 in PSU blows.
  • Low width and milky picture (2114T tips)
  • No start-up.
  • Screen adjustment.
  • No picture after replacement of TDA 3562A. No original Telefunken-IC was mounted.
  • Excessive HV. intermittently.
  • Dark picture at start-up. After 10-15 secs picture and audio fades, only raster remains.
  • Excessive brightness; picture appears briefly, no brightness control when appliance switched off and on.
  • No RC functions. Other functions OK .
  • Vertical roll. (2114T tips)
  • B+ adjustment.
  • Tank coil alignment.
  • VIF alignment.
  • TDA3562A is faulty. (2114T tip from RANKXEROX)
  • No or very faint picture.
  • Picture disappears after a few seconds or does not come on at all.
  • No vertical synchronisation. intermittently.
  • Vertical circuit adjustment.
  • Excessive HT and/or R811 blown. (2114T tips)
  • Reduced vertical and horizontal size. Vertical foldover at top and bottom.
  • Red picture. Flyback lines.
  • Only tunes low channels or does not tune at all. (RANKXEROX - 2114T information)
  • Does not store settings.
  • Picture rolls.
  • One colour missing.
  • No vertical deflection at start up, after a short time slowly becomes normal.
  • Vertical collapse.
  • Low contrast. No contrast control.
  • Teletext picture alignment.
  • Whistling on sound, severe distortion.
  • No picture. No sound. Squeaks at switch on.
  • No picture or only one colour.
  • Chroma unlocks when warm.
  • No line drive.
  • Blank raster. Buzz in audio.
  • Slow start-up.
  • PSU voltage runs out of control, and then drops slowly to normal, from 140 to 112V. High voltage also too high. Heating of CRT very bright.
  • Green raster.
  • Dark picture.
  • Blue picture. at start-up. No colour. intermittently.
  • Power supply service information.
  • No raster. intermittently.
  • No picture. OK after a while .
  • Line output transistor or zener diode 401 blows.
  • AFC adjustment.
  • Low gain.
  • Partial field collapse.
  • No start-up (intermittently).
  • Excessive brightness. Audio OK .
  • No picture or intermittent loss of picture.
  • No picture only sound and raster. Completely white picture when brightness is turned up.
  • Bright red screen.
  • Field distortion.
  • SIF alignment.
