  • Intermittent loss of sync. Blank raster. No audio. No LEDs.
  • R82 (10R) on the tube base board fails.

  • Displays PR and does not start
  • High contrast.
  • Picture is dark. When Ug2 is completely there, a bit of the picture is present.
  • Wide dark stripes on left side of picture.
  • The display is incorrect and PE appears.
  • No transmission in UHF (12V on pin 10 of the tuner connector).
  • Standby flickers.
  • There are 1300V present instead of 900V peak to peak on the collector of the TL37 (BU508ATB). This breaks after some time.
  • No picture. Fusible resistor RP47 (0R22) in U2 13V-rail blows repeatedly.
  • No UHF channels.
  • Blank screen.
  • On start up, black interference lines appear then the screen is white.
  • Power supply fuse blows. When it has been replaced, TV functions again for several days.
  • TEA 2026C is defective.
  • Horizontal centre adjustment.
  • Distorted picture. Strong streaking.
  • No erasing possible.
  • Contrast and brightness cannot be adjusted properly. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • Line BU (BU508) becomes hot and blows. At base of BU there are double pulses. (36M707 tips)
  • Vertical IC blows repeatedly after a few days.
  • Adjusting the white setting.
  • Picture too small. at start-up.
  • The appliance crackles and the picture framing is incorrect.
  • Intermittent loss of sync, a blank raster, no sound, switching to standby and the LED channel display going off.
  • The appliance pulsates 3 times then goes to safety mode. (service info for SABA -36M707)
  • The colour appears after a few minutes.
  • Coloured tinge in picture.
  • Sound purrs when tuning, picture is correct. Sound is possibly correct but picture disappears.
  • No command signal on the IL03.
  • No U system.
  • The appliance goes to safety mode and mute.
  • Intermittent loss of synchronization.
  • Loss of sync/raster/sound. Display goes off.
  • RP51 (0R22) blows intermittently.
  • Muted audio. (36M707 SABA repair tip)
  • DP51 s/c after operating for half an hour.
  • IR receiver does not function.
  • No luminance.
  • 300V on the collector of TP32. Oscillates at its base but no voltage on the secondary.
  • Standard CCETT adaptation. (36M707 SABA repair tip)
  • Start up ok. Picture and sound ok. After 15 minutes or more than one hour no picture but son ok. Horizontal white line.
  • No start-up (intermittently). (with circuit diagram extract)
  • No vertical deflection. intermittently. No audio. intermittently.
  • Reluctant to start then produces a picture with reduced width.
  • No TXT.
  • Poor display.
  • Black band on one part of the screen and interference.
  • No colour. No shutdown with RC.
  • Contrast and colour are excessive at preset condition.
  • DP51 heats up.
  • Very snowy picture in UHF. Apparently the fault is at the level of the tuner UHF 4200.
  • Is it possible to fit a TEA 2026C in place of a TEA 2026T ?
  • No vertical deflection.
  • Picture is dark or partially ther.
  • After a few days the TV fails. RP11, TP32 and TP38 are defective. The 925TX1283 unit has been replaced: TP32, TP38, CV16, DP33, DP41, DL62, DL64, QL11, CP31, DP32, DP38.
  • Slight hum of vertical bars.
  • Picture drop out and development of smoke. A "rainbow" is visible in the picture.
  • The PSU fails instantly. When this is replaced by the repair kit the same problem arises.
  • No light and the appliance cuts out.
  • S/C in PSU. (picture attached)
  • General information.
  • TL54/TP32 are destroyed.
  • Secondary protective circuit TV01 and TV02 disconnects intermittently.
  • Picture appears slowly. Display OK .
  • Vertical lines are distorted horizontally. E/W equalizer can not be adjusted correctly.
  • Picture is pulled at the top. Poor line sync. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • Power supply fault. TP37 and TP32 have a short circuit and occasionally TP38.
  • Appliance does not function with the mains switch then starts up again with another button.
  • At start up 90V makes 12V. After 2 mins picture and sound present but 90V reaches a maximum at 85V.
  • TL19 fails in line output stage.
  • Image noise in upper channels (e.g. channel 60, 99) only. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • Snow, no voltage on Varicap.
  • Tuning voltage drifts.
  • Standby light flashes, fuse blows. RP11 and TP32, BU508 fails.
  • At switch on when cold picture is reduced in height and width of the screen. After heating up for some time scanning becomes normal. Fault is no longer visible. You must wait until TV has cooled down sufficiently.
  • Reference oscillator beat adjustment: PAL decoder.
  • Switches to standby (intermittently).
  • Phase comparator fault on TV. Ok on secondary.
  • Programmes memory is lost once a month.
  • Power supply BU S2000 (BU508AT, BU508AF) S/C.
  • Picture flickers slightly from bottom to top. After removing display indication (control unit) picture is ok (less current). (extract of circuit diagram attached)
  • No start up. can be switched on after some time in standby. Sound OK. (36M707 SABA repair tip)
  • BU807 (TL54) cuts out.
  • Systematic failure of TL54. At switch on TEA2026 has been changed.
  • Vertical line. in the centre.
  • No adjustment.
  • Unstable lines and there is an interference line at the base of TP32.
  • TP32 and TP38 have a short circuit.
  • When switching on BU508A and RP11 fail after 2 secs.
  • PSU does not start up with a mains voltage more than 200V, ok with a voltage less than or equal to 200V.
  • Horizontal deflection is missing. Protective circuit disconnects. Standby point flashes. (SABA - 36M707 information)
  • The linearity coil whistles.
  • No picture. Flyback lines. at top. Audio OK . (36M707 tips)
  • White, bright picture, picture poorly distinguishable.
  • TP32 heats up.
  • Too much contrast, cannot be adjusted to less. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • Tube lights up as if G2 is at max (as if blocked in video). The same if an oscilloscope is put into scart. Sound and scanning ok.
  • Vertical bar.
  • No horizontal or vertical deflection.
  • Picture width fault.
  • TL54 (BU807) becomes very hot after a few mins and blows. Normal picture.
  • The appliance crackles during low Gamme UHF.
  • Switches to protection mode. intermittently.
  • No reception at band I, or image flickering only. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
  • Sound and picture cut out, display for 30 secs.
  • No function display. CTV functions via the front panel and the RCU.
  • No sensitivity in the tuning.
  • Line stage does not start up.
  • No start up. PSU whistles even when secondary side disconnected.
  • Poor reception. in VHF.
  • Both vertical and horizontal synchronization instability.
  • U7 = 15V and there is no 12V voltage. A black band appears on the screen.
  • Faint blue picture with no picture content and flyback lines. (with circuit diagram extract)
  • Stations appear and disappear. Horizontal lines in picture.
  • Setting the vertical amplitude. (SABA - 36M707 information)
  • Replacement kit of thyristor ESM740/G1/G2.
  • PSU fails immediately after switch on.
  • No reception on band I, or only picture flickering.
  • Cannot be switched on or switched to standby. Standby indicator does not light up.
  • Switches off intermittently or does not switch on at all.
  • Vertical lines on edge in EE-mode and via AV.
  • The blue circuit is pale.
  • Dark screen, 5 or 6 coloured lines at the top of the screen. Picture returns if appliance is hit.
  • U1 is instead of 84-90V only approx. 60V. Current consumption is over 100W.
  • Fails frequently when operating.
  • Hesitant start up. Mains button must be pressed several times. If appliance runs, fails again most of the time after a few mins.
  • U Varicap = 20V and will not change. (36M707 tip from SABA)
  • RL41 O/C due to dry joints below connector BD01.
  • No picture. Vertical coloured lines. Raster problem.
  • PSU does not always start after switch on via front control or RC.
  • No brightness. Three RGB colour bands on left and right of the screen. (36M707 tip from SABA)
  • Does not memorise channel tuning. Display shows channel when TV tunes onto a programme. 'Ch' appears on display when pressing 'S' and channel number reappears.
  • Dark screen.
  • No scanning. Display ok. (36M707 tip from SABA)
  • Top part of the picture is too wide and bottom part is too narrow
  • Starts to pulsates. Sound, picture and display present.
  • Black band at bottom of screen over approx 8cm. Picture has shifted to the top.
  • Power supply fails at less than 100V. (36M707 SABA repair tip)
  • No colour, picture streaking.
  • Does not start up. Only displays the channel number. Power supply kit has been replaced.
  • PAL run time decoder adjustment - PAL decoder.
  • No channel search.
  • Picture is bright and white with flyback lines. (with circuit diagram extract)
  • Only switches on after 70 secs. After start up everything is ok.
  • No colour (intermittently). Line tearing.
  • Fuse blows constantly.
  • Vertical deflection has collapsed to a bright line in the middle of the screen.
  • The picture is delayed by a few minutes.
  • Excessive vertical size.
  • In normal charge, TP32 and TP38 switch off. The appliance functions without a charge.
  • Power supply breakdown due to a volt-rise of the power supply kit.
  • Switches to protection mode.
  • Negative picture. Distorted picture. OK via SCART .
  • Noisy sound or no sound at all.
  • No function, standby point is not visible.
  • The power supply is destroyed. (36M707 tips)
  • No start up. PSU blocked.
  • Normal in black and white. In chroma, red of picture is green, blue is red and green is blue.

  • Lacks horizontal amplitude. Regulation does not function.
  • Appliance goes into PAL. Occasionally no display.
  • Switched-mode power supply (SMPS) does not start up. (picture attached)
  • Channels from 21 to 32 come through well but with lines and nothing comes through from 41 to 53.
  • Black screen. Display is lit. Intermittent sound. Fault occurs both via aerial and SCART.
  • The power supply does not start up. No standby
  • TP32 in the PSU is s/c.
  • The channels unkey after a while.
  • No reception. via tuner.
  • No picture. No sound. Programs can also be switched over.
  • On channels from 21 to 27 picture is ok, from 32 to 35 lines on picture and from 41 to 47 no picture.
  • Power supply stops occasionally, approx after 1/2 hour (very irregular).
  • Vertical centre adjustment.
  • The picture shifts towards the bottom of the screen.
  • Reduced vertical size.
  • Vertical line. (36M707 tips)
  • No brightness on picture. Chroma present with vertical instability and no sound.
  • Fuse blows at random, even at switch off.
  • Poor contacts.
  • FBT ok at start up but dark screen except for 3 coloured lines in top third of screen. Sound and display of channels ok. (SABA - 36M707 information)
  • No start function via RC. With mains switch appliance switches into standby. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
  • Horizontal collapse.
  • S2000 is s/c. Replaced with the original repair set, it still fails. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • TP32 (BU508) becomes defective after appliance turned ON/OFF several times. (picture attached) (service info for SABA -36M707)
  • Display appears after 15 secs, then pulsates on and off (no breaker circuit). (picture attached)
  • Dark screen. on the left.
  • TP29 fails after start-up.
  • No picture. Sound and display are OK.
  • Deprogrammes approx every 4 to 5 months.
  • No vertical synchronisation.
  • Bright picture. at top and bottom.
  • The appliance hums and the picture is unstable.
  • When switching into standby mode from the remote control the appliance switches off the sound and colour. This effect also occurs with a Condor appliance.
  • Only switches on occasionally, but without picture and sound. Occasionally very high switch on current consumption.
  • TP01 (BUT12A) fails after longer operating time
  • Poor vertical and horizontal amplitude with slight waving at sides, when cold. Everything returns to normal within 5 mins.
  • The picture is blurred (spot at the bottom of the screen).
  • Low audio.
  • Snow in picture. in UHF.
  • BU807 blows regularly. FBT and TEA2026 have been changed.
  • RP11 blows.
  • Switches to standby. after a few minutes.
  • Mains switch no start up. (with circuit diagram extract)
  • Crackling in sound and picture in UHF and VHF. No sound via scart.
  • Tripping.
  • No RC functions.
  • After switch on, vertical centering is shifted intermittently upwards approx. 2 cm; it goes to normal position after approx. 10 minutes.
  • Spots of colour on the screen.
  • Channel storage is erased.
  • Display ok, 90V, 13V and 22V are ok. Output 10 of TEA2026 to the line driver and the wave peaks are not in the correct frequency. IC and quartz have been changed.
  • Poor line synchronisation. Picture is shifted up. (with circuit diagram extract)
  • Searches for channels continuously.
  • Poor startup.
  • Does not start up when cold. Audio , display OK.
  • No brightness (only outlines can be recognised). Colour is ok.
  • The fuse blows because RP02 heats up.
  • Dark picture. (36M707 SABA repair tip)
  • Vertical collapse (intermittently).
  • Focus adjustment.
  • No picture. after a few minutes. Audio OK .
  • IL03 (TEA2026) blows up when the appliance goes into AV on TV 42cm.
  • Dark picture. after a few minutes.
  • Excessive brightness.
  • No display. TV functions well. Channel change over ok.
  • Does not come on from standby, red standby light comes on. TV01 and TV02 in the protective circuit respond.
  • The 108V voltage varies (U-system).
  • When appliance is switched on mains BU fails immediately.
  • Picture shifted vertically.
  • Poor vertical synchronisation. Picture shifted vertically. at top. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
  • No search possible. TV switches off without the 10th, 20th and 30th channel.
  • Unstable luminance when the appliance is warm. (36M707 tip from SABA)
  • No tuning.
  • Adjusting Us= 108V.
  • No picture on channel 99.
  • TP32 (BU508) and TL37 (BU508) fail immediately after switch on. (picture attached)
  • Does not switch on. No standby.
  • Poor picture alignment.
  • Starts up after 3 mins.
  • The varicap voltage does not move.
  • RP02 and power supply BU blow.
  • Transistor BU508 fails repeatedly.
  • Fuse blows as soon as degaussing is connected.
  • TP32 fails at switch on. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
  • Vertical lines at edge during EE operation and via AV. (picture attached)
  • No videotext mode.
  • Slow start-up.
  • The luminance signal disappears occasionally.
  • Shade appears behind the picture.
  • Picture flickers and stripes in the picture.
  • Sound is always at max even if appliance displays volume with 00.
  • E/W fault.
  • The power supply does not start up. All transistors have been changed.
  • Channels below 30 cannot be received (chassis ICC4).
  • No start up or reset.
  • Low hum of vertical lines. (picture attached)
  • Vertical blue bar on centre of screen. No picture.
  • Poor vertical synchronisation.
  • No horizontal deflection.
  • No picture, no sound and programme display does not light up.
  • Black picture with 10cm of RGB horizontal lines over the whole screen.
  • Coloured flyback lines and poor picture.
  • No picture. No audio. No channel display.
  • The picture blows up and the bottom of the screen is bright.
  • The power supply does not function with load.
  • Purity spot and scanning are incorrect. (service info for SABA -36M707)
  • Horizontal deflection and line oscillator failed. (with circuit diagram extract)
  • Does not start up. Standby LED switches off.
  • Picture appears slowly.
  • PSU fails after start-up.
  • No 300V at collector of TP32. If collector is disconnected 300V appear.
  • Excessive green.
  • Line oscillating or tearing.
  • No start-up. No display.
  • Power supply fault.
  • Adjustment of 5.5MHz min. or 4.43MHz min.
  • RP61 burns out.
  • No picture. Check the signal on pin 10 of IT20.
  • Line stage does not start up.
  • Line instability. (SABA - 36M707 information)
  • No picture or sound. At switch on display indicates a channel but no control is possible.
  • No system adjustment.
  • Picture hum and picture is slightly brighter at the top and bottom. (with circuit diagram extract)
  • Contrast average value is too high.
  • Power supply kit has been changed, has been working for 2 days and TP32 s/c, RP11 o/c, TL54 s/c, DL66 s/c, etc. Everything has been replaced, then no U1, U2, U3, U7, power supply transformer OK.
  • No picture content, rainbow colours at upper edge. U4 (17,5V) is too high, voltage at thyristor anode too high (approx 30V). At pin 4 of IC03 (TEA2026C) voltage is too high, instead of (2,8V approx. 7V).

  • Insufficient picture width, poor lines visible on screen
  • Flyback lines. No brightness. No contrast. (SABA - 36M707 information)
  • No start-up. Display OK .

  • Crackling in sound and picture in UHF and VHF. No sound in scart.
  • Screen blank, only RF-noise. No 0,5-30V tuning voltage at RT11. The three band switch transistors are conductive. Error may also occur only sometimes.
  • No 90V, RP51 burns. BU807, BU508.
  • No picture, no sound - PSU is switched off.
  • When warm flickers between picture and TXT. Characters keep popping up on screen
  • Ghosting effect.
  • RP02 burns at switch on and destroys TP32 S2000A1. (service info for SABA -36M707)
  • Can not be switched on from standby via RC.

  • No high channels can be requested.
  • TP29 fails after switch on.
  • The appliance takes 2-3 minutes to start up.
  • Standby LED flashes.

  • Vertical amplitude is too low.
  • Volume uncontrollable.
  • Loud audio.
  • Station tuning disappears.

  • Screen blank. Dark picture.
  • Power supply defective.
  • The power supply is correct without a load (U1 is up). There is a complete stop in the load.
  • No colour.Flag-effect. (service info for SABA -36M707)
  • Line output stage doesn't start up.
  • Interference lines in the top part of the screen.
  • At start up no line scanning or raster, TV displays PR. After approx 30 mins TV starts up.
  • After changing the battery, how do you adjust the channels without remote control IR?
  • Picture spraying on band I (heat dependent at DP51). (with circuit diagram extract)
  • When cold, no sound and no line amplitude then finally starts up. (36M707 SABA repair tip)
  • Power supply, fuses, BUs, etc, blow each time appliance is switched off by ON/OFF switch.
  • No image, red raster and flyback lines visible. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • Image compressed horizontally. Insufficient width approx 1cm on left and right of screen. (service info for SABA -36M707)
  • Sound to zero level. When volume is increased, sound goes back to zero level. Random channel switch-over.
  • Switches to standby after 6 or 7 minutes with or without aerial signal.
  • When warm picture lifts from the bottom and narrows at the top, black lines at the bottom of the screen.
  • Cannot be switched on or switched to standby. Standby indicator does not light up.

  • 90V problem. RP51 heats up and cuts out. DP51 and CP51 ok. Brand new line transformer.
  • PSU inoperative.
  • Volume varies.
  • The appliance blows up on a very light background.
  • The sound and picture hum.
  • TL19 fails in line ouptut stage.
  • Noise on channel 09 (band I) - colour picture. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
  • PSU is defective, after replacing the protection resistor RP11 and transistor TP32 (BU508) there is still a s/c ie. after switching on appliance there is another complete s/c of the BU 508A straight away.
  • Horizontal stripe (intermittently).
  • Goes into standby every quarter of an hour or half an hour.
  • Voltages from FBT gradually decrease then line BU S2000 blows after operating for 15 mins.
  • PSU repair tip.
  • Approx one third of the top of the picture is crushed.
  • Reduced horizontal size. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
  • The line framing is incorrect.
  • Vertical foldover at bottom.
  • U1 = 60V instead of 90V.
  • No speacial channels. Appliance works only up to channel 69. Display for brightness shows L (= English mode) instead of B.
  • No secondary voltage.
  • RP23 and transistor (BU508A) have blown.
  • No functions. Standby LED is not visible.
  • Vertical picture position shifts intermittently upwards approx 2 cm after switch on. It is OK after approx 10 mins.
  • No start-up. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
  • Focus pot is defective.
  • Rainbow effect in the centre.
  • No horizontal deflection. intermittently.
  • Adjusting the screen grid voltage (grey setting).
  • Switches to standby. after a while.
  • Dead.
  • Picture predominantly red in SECAM. Ok in PAL via scart.
  • Secondary protective circuits TV01 and TV02 disconnect intermittently.
