EV410 / SABA [Video recorder - VHS HiFi]
The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers
supplies the following faults for EV410 / SABA.
List of fault symptoms:
- Unsynchronised menu in line and frame with Canal Plus decrypted by the VCR which is in standby.
- M9655: inputting the operating time on non-standard cassettes.
- Loads tape, goes to FF for 2 secs then switches to standby. When started up again, appliance stays in FF for a sec then stops. Tape is released by reverse half rotation of right table. No standby.
- Unlaces constantly after loading cassette.
- Brakes fault.
- No audio. in REC.
- Destroys upper part of tape.
- Dark display.
- Does not load cassette, only if it is pushed. When ejecting cassette becomes stuck half way.
- Capstan motor warms up and drops out after half an hour.
- No clock memory. Channel memory OK.
- Menu language.
- Tape is retracted, drum turns, tape advances for 15 seconds and then appliance switches to standby.
- Loads tape then ejects immediately.
- PB fault. Reads a few seconds and then stops. No FF.
- Operating info: date adjustment from year 2000.
- Tape is damaged. No FF. No REW.
- Appliance jams. All the segments of the display are lit up.
- Doesn't accept cassette. No mechanism reaction.
- Modification: VR7021 and VR7041.
- Poor audio. Tape is damaged.
- Capstan does not rotate and appliance goes into safety when hot.
- Eats tape.
- RC part number.
- Poor picture. Picture rolls.
- No memory. (EV410 tips)
- No display. after a few seconds.
- Clock shifts a few mins each month.
- Functions are locked after connecting a peripheric on scart socket AV2.
- Poor eject of the cassette.
- Cassette compartment tries to load a tape by forcing at switch on then after several moments tries to eject it. Keeps indicating tape presence.
- Enter service mode.
- Damaged tape in upper part.
- No start-up.
- Noisy tuning.
- Memory loss.
- Unstable picture. in PB.
- Poor operation of the quick function button.
- Tape rolls up inside the mechanism or tape is damaged.
- Operation info: Showview Identity numbers.
- No picture.
- LED lights up sometimes in standby and gives a high level signal on pin 8 of SCART, which commutes the connected TV into AV mode.
- No display.
- Cassette compartment does not retract, end position is not reached during eject.
- Does not switch on. Two clicks can be heard from PSU but no functions.
- Distortion on own recordings. PB of pre-recorded tapes OK.
