FF364 / SABA [TV (Standard)]

supplies the following faults for FF364 / SABA.
List of fault symptoms:
- TL29 fails in B and C after start up.
- Picture is very dark. Picture is visible only by the predominant areas of red and blue.
- Trips three times at start up.
- Primary power supply fails under load. (picture attached)
- No audio.
- No start up with RC. Functions OK with RC when switched on manually.
- Intermittent tripping, display ok. Possible start up again via On/Off switch.
- Poor audio.
- At switch on, focus pot arcing and igniting. CRT board and tube ventiduct disconnected but fault persists.

- After two-three hours the sound crackles very loudly. Model (51K5) Nicam .
- No stereo reception on channel 60.

- Channel programming is impossible. The channels are defective on the display.
- Various breakdowns due to U1=7V.
- Sometimes CTV starts up and functions. When the CTV is functioning, it stops then starts up again all by itself.
- Switches to protection mode. intermittently.

- General information.
- No picture. Loss of 1 or more colours.
- Blank screen with out of focus blob in bottom centre of screen.

- Volume changes by itself or sound is distorted.

- No colour in PB from a Ferguson FV26D VCR when VCR is positioned under the TV.
- When switching on with RCU, appliance does not react unless you are approx 1m away from it.
- Power supply doesn't start up.

- Channels 1, 2, 3 and 4 ok but teletext is green.
- After a storm no sound and no picture. No light, filament lights up, line transformer ok. screen remains dark, light appears at switch off. (FF364 tips)
- Black, green, pink, blue screen after start-up for 1 min, then goes to normal. (FF364 tips)
- Powers up, LED flashing once.

- The video fails with the decoder syster. No problem with the old decoder.

- Flickering on channel 60 and on special channels.
- Fuse FP05 (1.6A) blows sporadically without any obvious reason after an extended running time (approx 1-2 months). After replacing appliance runs perfectly again.
- Does not switch on and no standby.

- Vertical fault.
- Intermittently switches off ten consecutive times or just once. Mostly switches on again automatically. No LEDs lit when switching off.
- Brightness varies. (picture attached)
- TV just displays LOCK.
- Blocked on channel no 1 in manual and in RCU.
- White screen, no picture. At start up displays 1 and after 5 secs 88, no function possible 5V OK, 20V OK.

- Sound is very distorted on both channels when cold like when warm. All the other functions are normal.
- The brightness control display may switch off.
- Popping noise from speakers at switch on.
- Loud noises from speaker (at switch-off).
- After operating for 5 mins in black and white, it loses G2 and turns mauve.
- Occasionally memorized data of control unit processor is lost at switch on or switch off with mains switch.
- Programme indicator "1" flashes but will not tune.
- No PIP.

- Low FM audio, high background noise.
- Top half of picture has squiggling verticals which alter with field shift/height. Picture may blank out with coloured lines dependent upon vertical shift position, accompanied by rasping noise from PSU!
- Picture has shifted horizontally. Sound available only every 2 secs. Picture and sound OK via AV.
- Video disappears and comes back after a few seconds. Sound present.
- CTV loses its programming when there is a power cut. What is the value the battery must charge at ?
- Loud noises from speaker (at switch-off).

- Vertical stability fault. Picture revolves as it moves up the screen. No sound with scart. TV goes into standby after 5 mins as if there were no transmission.
- No sound or picture. Teletext functions. Static discharge. New appliance.
- No sound at switch on.
- No colour in Secam, ok in Pal. RGB ok.
- No AGC.

- Wrong display. Low light with no picture or sound.

- Appliance switches off sporadically and immediately starts again. After 3 times it can only be started by the mains switch. Fault occurs according to the picture content 2 to 20 times per day.

- Automatically comes out of TXT mode leaving a dull, uncontrasted picture. (with circuit diagram extract)
- Starts up three times then switches off.
- Poor Teletext page number.
- Intermittently blocks in AV. The channels remain displayed on the display.

- Sound pulsing off and on Nicam lights flashing.

- Hiss in audio.
- Goes into black and white, flyback lines then stops. Dead. Starts up again 2 or 3 times then cuts out completely.
- Fuse and power supply transistor defective.

- At switch on by ON/OFF switch EHT is heard for 1 sec. then goes dead. No display, no LED.
- Anomaly due to built in switch.

- When cold trips 3 times with crackling in the speaker, then safety mode. When warm trips then starts up. (picture attached)
- Constant red, green and blue line scanning.
- Program site is displayed but the appropriate picture does not appear. If fine tuning is activated, picture appears.
- Intermittent loss of raster at switch on with white lines at the top. Flyback raster when acting on PG08 or when going to AV.
- Moire pattern. after warm-up.
- Unstable picture. Horizontal interference on the screen. The sound crackles.
- OSD only functions in PAL.

- Set blocks (operation via RC or via user control only possible, after the set has been switched off and on again by mains switch.
- Field collapse across centre of screen. Hum bar may drift down screen about 1 hour before field collapses.
- Appliance functions in VHF but not in UHF. Snow is present.

- After changing the CRT base, there is HT flashover which appears as crackling sound and flickering picture.

- Intermittently unlocked colour.
- After an hour dark screen, no sound, display is correct. The display remains on the channel selected then a moment afterwards goes into standby.
- Black box appears instead of clock on channel change or when adjusting volume on IMC models.
- Replaced small transformer which was burning but TV remains in standby and FBT crackles for 5-6 secs then nothing.

- No channel tuning in search mode.

- Power supply of the control micro is too low (micro has been changed). 3 Volts, CTV does not start up.

- Ticking noise on sound with intermittent mute.

- Colour bleeding.
- Switches off for a short time then returns on programme 1 (early F15 chassis).
