FF367 / SABA [TV (Standard)]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for FF367 / SABA.

List of fault symptoms:
  • No sound or vision. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
  • Primary power supply fails under load. (part of circuit diagram displayed)
  • Poor grey scale. Dominates in black and white. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
  • No standard switching. Blocked on PAL. (+ extract of circuit diagram)

  • PSU starts up 1 time out of 10. At switch off, green dot lights up and then goes out.

  • Random clicks with Nicam sound.
  • Various breakdowns due to U1=7V.
  • Black screen. All the voltages are correct. The sound, line transformer and the G2 are ok but the screen remains black.
  • No sound, picture is ok.

  • No raster deflection. No picture, only vague light in background. Looks like coloured spot at bottom of picture. No start up.
  • No display on screen. Black line which moves around instead. TXT is not synchronised. When changing channel a black band appears at the top of the screen displaying V1 then disappears. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
  • Intermittent switch between programme 1 and AUX.
  • Service info: Contrast- and beam current adjustment after replacing chroma video module.
  • Bottom of picture stretches intermittently. E/W effect.
  • Intermittent colour.
  • Shuts down.
  • Dead. LED blinks .

  • Maladjusted convergence on the top quarter of the picture.
  • Negative picture, striped and running through in UHF. OK in VHF.
  • Dark screen with some RGB lines at the bottom of the screen and whistling near the FBT. Capacitor 1000/40V has been changed but fault persists. FBT has been changed but dark screen with hum then goes into safety mode.

  • Automatically comes out of TXT mode leaving a dull, uncontrasted picture. (extract of circuit diagram attached)

  • Red picture (after a while).
  • When switching on with RCU, appliance does not react unless you are approx 1m away from it.
  • No off-air luma. TXT OK.

  • NS pincushion distortion. More at the bottom than at the top.

  • The picture goes wrong all the time in the vertical direction. A black band appears at the bottom. The capacitors at the level of the raster IC are ok. Solder joints have been redone.
  • Uncontrollable brightness with flyback lines. (SABA - FF367 information)
  • Switches off then starts up again, mostly when cold. When TV works, sound mute and background noise, but sound reappears at channel switch over.

  • Unable to tune in fully.
  • The appliance switches off automatically and loses its station memory.

  • No tape-end shut off, changing IT20 and IR01 does not cure the problem, no reception on all channels only white shimmer.

  • After changing transformer LP03 burns. TL31 disconnected, 7V on DP37 and 145V on DP41 OK. BU508AT5 has been replaced by BU508A but fault still persists.
  • No sound or picture. Teletext functions. Static discharge. New appliance.

  • When appliance is switched on by the mains switch, the TV starts up for a moment, then goes into standby. Does not start up from the RCU.

  • Loss of memory when you switch off the TV and in standby you need to be 5cm from the TV to start it up again despite the TV operating well. Battery is ok.
