CF2020Z / SAMSUNG [TV]
The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers
supplies the following faults for CF2020Z / SAMSUNG.
List of fault symptoms:
- No vertical sync when using the scart socket of a computer.
- Flyback line on picture.
- Tripping.
- When cold picture is unstable, shudders and vertical slidings slowly on picture.
- Line amplitude fault, resembles an E/W fault with a fault at the bottom of the screen.
- At switch on standby light comes on for a short time then goes off gradually.
- No EHT. No display.
- No start-up.
- In video position normal sound but very pale picture. Works normally in TV position.
- Occasionally picture tears and sound cuts out.
- Picture and sound disappear after a few moments. Standby display point goes out.
- Picture concentrated at the middle of the screen.
- Failure of filter capacitors C416 (main board), C560 and C590 (picture tube board).
- Picture is darker on the left of the screen and lighter on the right.
- When warm no reception. The sound increases. No display. The remote control does not operate.
- Green spot in the middle of screen at switch off for 5 minutes.
- No start up. Red LED lit then LED fades gradually. 300V checked on head capacitor.
- Q810 heats up and no raster scanning, R419 O/C.
- U.System voltage. (CF2020Z tip from SAMSUNG)
- Switches to standby (intermittently). (CF2020Z tips)
- Remains in standby at switch on, cannot switch on. Bypassed relay contact OK except non-powered commands.
- When cold 4cm flyback line at the top of the screen.
- Standby goes off by itslef after a few secs.
- Value and refs of R801, R802 (power supply).
- Lack of brightness.
- Picture width is too great and cannot be reduced (no control). Occurs after replacing power supply part. (SAMSUNG - CF2020Z information)
- Line BU blows after operating for a few hours. Occasionally picture tears horizontally. (SAMSUNG - CF2020Z information)
- Stops after a few mins and no standby light.
- Picture over 3cm in middle of screen. Sound present.
- Picture and sound drop out intermittently on Canal Plus with decoder.
- Flyback lines. Picture foldover on top of screen.
- E/W pincushion fault. No E/W correction.
- No startup from standby. Mains switch and standby switch have to be pressed in turn to restart appliance.
- Picture and sound drop out intermittently on Canal Plus with decoder.
- When warm no reception. The sound increases. No display. The remote control does not operate.
