CBP2572 / SANYO [TV]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for CBP2572 / SANYO.

List of fault symptoms:
  • Stuck in standby or intermittently will not come out of standby. (CBP2572 tips)

  • Horizontal lines on picture.
  • Line across top of screen.
  • Picture position at upper screen adjustment.
  • FM output adjustment.
  • If appliance is switched back shortly after it was shutdown it has no sound.
  • Field collapse at top of screen.
  • No picture (intermittently).
  • Mosaic effect.
  • Blank raster. No sound or OSD.

  • No sound, OK from SCART.
  • Switches on for approx. 2 sec. Picture and sound present, then standby.
  • Lacks line amplitude and no E/W correction.
  • Horizontal size adjustment.
  • Dead, remains in standby.

  • No start-up. LED flashes after about 6 secs.
  • No picture.
  • No frame at switch on it then opens up.
  • PIP colour adjustment.
  • Bright line at top of screen. Frame collapse.

  • Trips a couple of times, then dead.
  • When switching from standby to ON, the power indicator pulses on and off slowly but no sound or picture.

  • Wrong letters and figures on TT.
  • No video, flyback lines, white smeary patches on right side of screen.
  • Silvery smearing with blue flashing and picture break up.

  • Drive adjustment.
  • Hum on sound which is not present at minimum volume but as volume increases can be heard.
  • Trips four times at switch on then dead.
  • No E/W correction. No line amplitude.
  • Text lateral position adjustment.
  • Line output transistor (2SD1555) fails repeatedly.
  • White dot pattern.
  • Cut-off adjustment.
  • Rolling graphics or text.
  • Plain bright white raster.Channel I.D. Box is blank. Text page is blank.
  • Pincushion fine adjustment - Correction near bottom.
  • No channel change on front panel or RC.
  • Blue or red dots forming diagonal lines across picture (chroma only) also rapid variations in brightness.
  • No picture. Sound and OSD OK.
  • Intermittent loss of signals.
  • Dead.
  • Screen adjustment.
  • No audio. No OSD.
  • Picture blanked out at switch on except for 2" strip at bottom. (CBP2572 SANYO repair tip)
  • Picture position at lower screen adjustment.
  • Pincushion adjustment - Correction near top.
  • Vertical centre adjustment.
  • Mosaic like picture.
  • Picture is too large and E/W cushions are distorted.
  • No picture, bright glow at top.
  • Q903 and R301 blown repeatedly. (CBP2572 tips)
  • Poor brightness and contrast.
  • Goes into standby for approx 1 min after switch on. On the primary there is a TDA4605, a CNY17, on the secondary a TDA8138 with 5V STD on pin 7. (service info for SANYO -CBP2572)
  • Line triggering at top of picture due to macrovision.
  • Colour bar adjustment.
  • Trips on switch on.
  • No colour.
  • HV confirmation.

With help of this list a solution is found often when SANYO CBP2572 fails.
