CBP2876 / SANYO [TV]

List of fault symptoms:
  • Q600 blown up.
  • E/W fault.

  • Squeals then goes to standby.
  • AGC adjustment.
  • Lines in picture. at top.
  • No start up. Fast tripping.
  • No audio.
  • Fast hiccup when connecting TV. LED flashes.
  • Slow response to channel change, takes 20-30 secs to change.
  • White streaks.
  • Dead.
  • B1 power supply adjustment.
  • Collapses to a thin bowed horizontal line.
  • Reduced vertical size.
  • SERVICE mode:
  • No audio.
  • R653 continues to fail.
  • No picture, just snow when tuning selected. No sound
  • Very dark and greyish picture.
  • No HT or tube heaters.
  • Switching FET (BUZ90A) defective.
  • No function. Standby LED OFF. Pressing Standby, cracking from PTC.
  • No horizontal or vertical deflection.
  • Attempts to start up, but does not succeed and switches to standby.
  • No start up after being turned off for several hours. It eventually starts up when attempting to switch on several times.
  • White screen. Flyback lines.
  • Doesn't function even if standby LED lights up. When pressing mains switch, attempts to start up but goes to standby.
  • E/W fault. intermittently.
  • Starts up, functions for a minute and immediately disconnects, remaining in standby.
  • No sound from loudspeakers. Audio output from scart and headphones jack is ok. (CBP2876 tip from SANYO)
  • No picture. No sound. Rattles.
  • Excessive horizontal size. Pincushion distortion.
  • Excessive brightness. Audio OK .
  • No picture. Audio OK .
  • Pincushion distortion. 5cm field collapse on each screen edges.
  • A few colour lines on top of picture. (SANYO - CBP2876 information)
  • Snow in E-E.
  • Unable to switch out of standby when cold.
  • Flyback lines. at top.
  • Stuck in standby.
  • No vertical sync. In TXT only page no. visible.
  • Tuning drifts.
  • Bright raster. Audio OK .
  • Mains fuse blown.
  • No picture, no sound, just snow when tuning selected.
  • Transistor Q650 (BU508A) is S/C.
  • No E/W correction.
  • Unstable picture. Difficulty in tuning. OK with scart.
  • No luminance signal. In TXT only page no. is visible.
  • PSU switching transistor fails at start-up.
