VHR5100 / SANYO [Video recorder - VHS HiFi]
The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers
supplies the following faults for VHR5100 / SANYO.
List of fault symptoms:
- No eject.
- RF AGC adjustment.
- Intermittently tape loops and does not unlace correctly. (service info for SANYO -VHR5100)
- PB in slow motion.
- Drop out on macro tapes.
- Tape is insufficiently taken back. It gets stuck behind tape rollers when ejected.
- Jerky rolling. Irregular sound.
- Difficulties in FF or REW, especially near end of tape.

- Random mechanism functions.
- Appliance doesn't accept the cassette, no mechanism functions.
- E-E level adjustment. (picture attached)

- Own REC is blurred. (service info for SANYO -VHR5100)
- Does not accept tape.
- Still vertical lock adjustment.
- Deviation adjustment. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
- Jerky tape transport. Irregular sound.
- Does not load tape.
- Tape is not wound around if FF or REW is selected.
- Appliance doesn't accept the cassette, no drive-mechanism because of this. (VHR5100 tips)

- CH1, CH2 switching position adjustment. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
- Luminance signal recording current adjustment. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
- Switches off in FF/REW.
- Does not accept any cassette; therefore no drive function. (VHR5100 tip from SANYO)
- No PB.
- SHOW-VIEW cannot be programmed. REC always on invalid station.
- No colour in PB.
- Bias adjustment. (VHR5100 tips)
- Chews tape, leaves loop of tape on eject.
- Carrier adjustment. (SANYO - VHR5100 information)
