List of fault symptoms:
- Black lines in picture.
- Comes on in standby. When switching to a channel, picture and sound start up correctly but appliance switches again to standby after approx 30 secs.

- When switching the appliance on it starts after a few attempts (standby LED flickers) and stops (LED off). If the appliance is switched on again the same happens.
- No LED lit.

- Poor vertical synchronisation. Horizontal jitter. intermittently.

- Coil shaped picture. Can be adjusted to straight picture but remains too narrow.

- No scanning, the line transformer is ok, fuse 1601 blows at start up. Even if the transformer is disconnected, the power supply starts up. Voltages are ok.

- The CTV does not switch on. The 2A fuses are o/c; after replacing them they keep blowing.

- Appliance does not function, squeaking sound when turned on.
- No figures on display.
- After switching on the TV there is a loud background noise. Normal picture.

- Low brightness with severe Hanover bars.
