6632 / SBR [TV 66 (62) cm picture]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for 6632 / SBR.

List of fault symptoms:
  • The remote control does not function. The green LED lights up irregularly.

  • Wow and flutter. Knock sensitive.
  • No power supply, no 145V when loading with lamp, no LT. (picture attached)
  • In display only even nos light up.
  • Standardised chroma module.
  • Screen turns bright. Appliance gulps.
  • Uniform faded picture.
  • Colour is faulty, flyback lines and smoke from R610. (picture attached)
  • Channels cannot be switched over also there are no analogous functions.

  • East-west amplitude cannot be controlled easily. The picture's width varies when the contrast is changed. (with circuit diagram extract)
  • The appliance makes a light gurgling sound, occurs occasionally after some time.
  • No tuning. only on certain channels.

  • Switching on appliance a hiccuping operation is noted.

  • Frame module without IC TDA2780 (not enough in supply).

  • Top scan only.
  • No colour. after a while.
  • One colour missing.
  • The indication LEDs do not come on.

  • The focus unit is replaced.

  • The picture distorts in the corners, it is sideways to the middle. (picture attached)

  • No programming. Dark screen.

  • RC and control panel operation do not function (only 1 channel).
  • The chroma is next to the rasters, even if the colour fails.
  • Bright/dark interference stripes. Picture may disappear intermittently
  • Rolled up picture in the bottom part of the screen.
  • Pincushion distortion.

  • Picture turns bright red, green or blue, flyback lines and then fails. (service info for SBR -6632)
  • Safety test after repair.
  • Channel drift.
  • Hiccuping. (picture attached)
  • The upper part of the picture pulls up.
  • Horizontal ripple lines. Everything is ok after dismounting the AFC plug on U535.
  • No vertical deflection. intermittently.
  • The picture is too small and East/West correction is incorrect.

  • R.G.B. amplifiers.

  • No memory.

  • Channel selector V311 no longer available, will be V317.

  • Horizontal lines.
  • The TV does not switch on from the switch but only from the remote control.
  • Green picture. Shuts down.
  • No brightness control. Retrace lines. (picture attached)

  • No picture. No sound. Screen is grey. Occasionally sync is poor.
  • Channel 2 and channel 7 flashing.
  • Sound unit (10W-HiFi).
  • Modification to be carried out on the chroma module in the event of replacing the IC TDA2523 with the TDA2525.

  • Tuning drifts.
  • Colour phase is faulty, reverse blocking lines. (extract of circuit diagram attached)
  • When switching on the TV is ok. After a few minutes when adjusting the saturation it moves frequency.
  • Supply section oscillator adjustment.

  • The appliance gurgles with high voltage and sound. No picture.

  • After switching the appliance on, it is not tuned. After switching to another channel, the tuning is o.k. again.
  • Tripping. at start-up.
  • 140V = 70-80V. Set comes on after a while.

  • The raster is egg shaped.

  • Line output transistor fails repeatedly.
  • Searches for channels continuously.

  • Connection of a loop system to the TV.
  • After switching to TXT, only TXT mode is displayed but no TXT appears.
  • Picture turns red, green or blue with flyback lines.

  • Wavy lines are visible vertically.

  • The raster becomes dark and red.

  • Colour purity adjustment.

  • The connected video recorder produces a freeze frame that shakes and jumps.

  • Clock TXT decoder adjustment without measurement equipment.
  • Horizontal size varies. Knock sensitive.
  • With light picture contents the mains gurgles once.
  • Disturbance lines and shaky picture. (6632 tips)
  • Blue picture. after a while. Switches off by itself.
  • Overvoltage protection adjustment.

  • Lower side of picture is black.
  • White screen.
  • TV has poor luminosity and every now and then the picture shrinks at the centre forming a horizontal thin line.

  • 4.43MHz trap adjustment - Luminance circuit.

  • The sound varies: soft and loud.
  • Red smear on picture.

  • Barrel shaped picture.
  • The picture is distorted and folds over at the bottom. (picture attached)
  • Is occasionally intermittent.
  • TV does not switch on; there is only the M1 voltage = 285V. (+ extract of circuit diagram)
  • Vertical collapse.
  • No luminance. Colour OK . (service info for SBR -6632)
  • Fuse 562 is defective. After replacing it the appliance functions.
  • The appliance cannot be tuned (remains blocked on one channel).
  • Vertical interference lines in all of the picture during UHF and VHF. No flyback lines.
  • Slight east/west problem (part of circuit diagram displayed)

  • Bright picture with retrace lines first, then picture cuts out.
  • All functions are distorted during operation.
  • Focus potentiometer.
  • Sound module IC TDA2610Q no longer available.
