6658 / SBR [TV 66 (62) cm picture]

The EURAS repair tip database for professional technicians and service engineers supplies the following faults for 6658 / SBR.

List of fault symptoms:
  • Part no. change for mains switch.
  • Replace IC SAA1060 with IC SAA1061.
  • No picture or sound. Power supply OK.
  • Band 4 and 5 will not work after replacing tuner.
  • When transmitting, a "second language" comes through.
  • TRD111 system memory loss.
  • Flyback lines and black bar are visible in picture (when receiving without antenna signal).
  • Lower side of picture is black.
  • No picture, only lines.
  • Shuts down (intermittently).
  • Adaptionpanels to prevent double sound.
  • Focus potentiometer. (6658 tip from SBR)
  • Frame module without IC TDA2780 (short supply).
  • TXT lines skip in cold condition.
  • Shifting vertical centering with G7000.
  • Appliance switches periodically to stereo without reason.
  • When switching appliance on/off the clock display turns off.
  • Switches to standby when TXT is started. LED doesn't light. Switches on only if TXT is switched off from RC
  • External radiation from TV equipment on VR2020.
  • Adjusting clock TXT decoder without measurement equipment.
  • No storage. Program drops out, when key 1-4 is pressed.
  • At switch on the screen lights up excessively but with no predominance of colour and goes into safety mode.
  • Intermittent failure to tune to channel 40-. Tuner voltage deviates from voltage when tuning to channel is OK.
  • Offset frequency problems.
  • The current time is 1 minute behind.
  • Does not tune on a channel in search mode.
  • Connection of a loop system to the TV.
  • Appliance spontaneously switches from UHF to VHF and back again.
  • Dim program display LN526RA. (service info for SBR -6658)
  • Control logic module.
  • Line transformer with the same focus as HV cable plug.
  • Will not tune on a channel in search mode.
  • Focus/VG2 unit K12Z.
  • No picture/sound. Power supplies are ok.
  • TXT regulators skip in cold condition.
  • Flyback lines.
  • Moire in picture on the UHF range.
  • Appliance switches spontaneously from UHF to VHF and back again.
  • Double sound.
  • When switching appliance on/off the clock display goes off.
  • Appliance occasionally switches to stereo without reason.
  • Safety test after repair.
  • Very bright picture.
  • Conversion to cable tuner V317LO.
