- Flyback lines. on upper half screen.
- Vertical collapse.
- Line output transistor fails at start-up.

- Switches to BG from NICAM.
- Line transformer whistling. Line BU has been changed without any effect. Still the same when you lift the BU collector, 150V otherwise voltage decreases to 40V.
- No functions.
- Whistling. at start-up. Horizontal line. after a while.
- Vertical jitter.
- When switched on, the appliance attempts to start up but fails.
- Stuck in standby.
- Picture is dark and only black and white. No colour in SECAM or PAL. Flyback raster visible as well as TXT lines.
- Shaky picture at switch on. Picture OK after 5 mins.
- PSU chirps after switch on and appliance does not start.
- When switching off with the RCU a horizontal line remains on the screen.
- Dark horizontal stripes in picture, which become stronger after warm-up.

- No or poor synchronisation. Poor audio. when cold.
- Poor sync, no or unstable sound plus hum bars.
- No picture. when cold.
