SWTV70 / SEAWAY [TV]

  • Erratic remote functions. Set locked in teletext mode.
  • Smeary OSD.
  • Picture appears slowly. Audio OK .

  • E/W fault.
  • Colour bars on screen.
  • No start-up (intermittently).
  • Black screen. Audio OK .
  • Pulsating
  • Excessive width. Line foldover. Ragged verticals.
  • Line starts up only after 1-2 mins.
  • Hum in audio.
  • Intermittent standby. No RCU function.
  • When TEXT selected on subtitles/pages, picture darkens.
  • Buzz in audio. at low volume.
  • No picture at top after a while. White line.
  • Does not come out of standby. Sometimes flashes when put into standby.
  • No start-up from standby.
  • No functions.
  • Loud audio. Faulty characters/segments on display.
  • No start-up.
  • No audio. No picture. LED is red .
  • Dead. Tripping.
  • OSD and TEXT mainly green smearing.
  • No sound in L/L standard. OK in BG via aerial and scart.
  • E/W distortion and lack of width.
  • Low brightness.
  • Reduced vertical deflection.
  • Retrace lines at top 2" of screen.
  • Line output transistor fails after about 30 mins.
  • No vertical deflection. at top.
  • No E/W correction.
  • TEXT has shifted to one side. (SWTV70 tip from SEAWAY)
  • Trips.
  • Does not select EXT1 or EXT2 using 0 button.
  • No horizontal deflection.
  • TV locks when pressing teletext button. Without using TXT, appliance works fine.

  • Dies with a loud cracking noise.
  • No picture. Blank raster. Audio OK .

  • No TXT. only on certain channels.
  • Wavy picture.

  • Hold button does not function on teletext.
  • Excessive horizontal size. E/W fault.
  • Reduced vertical size.
  • Vertical foldover.
  • Power problem.
  • Tripping.
  • Two bars appear on right and left sides after 5 minutes.
  • Relay trips.
  • Trips. after start-up.
  • Switches to standby.
  • Purity errors.
  • Stuck in standby. LED lit. Faint buzz from rear.
  • Stuck at full VOL.
  • Noise in audio. only on one channel.
  • Blank raster. OK via SCART .
  • Poor picture. only on certain channels.

  • Reduced horizontal size.
  • Black lines on both sides of picture.
  • No vertical synchronisation.
  • R409 (4K7) repeatedly burnt.
  • Bright coloured line down right hand side of picture when receiving cable transmission and some satellite programmes that have incription data.
  • Vertical foldover at top.
  • Teletext has shifted to right but TV picture is centralised.
  • Trips. Dead. after a few seconds.
  • Only vertical stripe.
  • No line drive. Audio OK .
  • Transistor (BU1508AX) blown.
  • Horizontal foldover. Excessive horizontal size. (SWTV70 tip from SEAWAY)
  • LO transformer and LO transistor fails after 30 mins.
  • No TXT.
  • Line output transistor fails repeatedly.
  • During dark scenes, poor definition of black, varying from light to dark grey. (SWTV70 tips)
  • Vertical fault.
  • No line oscillator.
  • Incorrect characters instead of numeric representation of volume level.
  • VOL at maximum. Unable to change numbers. Value flashing.
  • Stuck in standby.
  • Bright blue blank raster.
  • No picture. Bright raster. at top. Audio OK .
  • Dead. Burning smell.
  • Dead with PSU running.
  • Low width with a foldover in middle of scan.
  • Height down by 1" top and bottom.
  • Picture breaks up. Sound muted.
  • Vertical collapse.
  • Dead. Buzz in audio.
